I have always been overweight and struggled to lose weight.  My mother is morbidly obese and I knew I was destined for a life of the same unless I did something.  I was tired of not being able to lose weight and finally crossed over the line to morbid obesity.  When I discovered that my insurance would cover all but $100 to the surgeon, I went for it.  I was 95 pounds over my ideal weight, and had gained about 30 of it in the preceeding six months, but my insurance did not have stipulations regarding length of obesity.  I ended up paying a little more for a few more co-pays to the hospital and for my psych exam but it was well worth it!  THe operation was over 40k and I paid less than 400!  Amazing!  I am now working toward my new life and feel great about the new me!!
