stalled out !!
congrats on the weight loss!! that is a huge number.. Be proud. I had my surgery on sept 2009 and lost 40 lbs in the first 9 months...since then i have be struggling to loose. SO far i have lost about 50lbs and have another 50 lbs to go. I keep reminging mysepf that it took me 10 years to gain 100 lbs, it is ok if it takes me 2 or 3 years to loose it. You do seem tight, i still am looing for my sweetspot..i can eat way to much but then all of a sudden BAM!!! restriction comes when i least expected. Try getting lots of protein in and good look with getting back started. Take care

Back to the Band...after 3 years
hi theresa, how are you doing? im not doing so well. Since my 1 year anniv in Sept i have had another fill ( dec) and i have only lost 2 lbs...i know exacly why. I have not been working out and i have been gracing alot. It seems i am always in the kitchen preparing something for my 3 small kids...they are always hungry...so, i go ahead and take a bite f this, a bite of that, some crackets...ect I am dissapointed about myself, not the band. Its like i am sabotaging myself. Have you gotten back on track??? My goal for 2011 is to llose 33 lbs by my Sept Bday...that would put me at 199...at this point that would put me over the moon! hope all is well

I NEED TO GET MOTIVATED!!!
it has been a while since i logged on...much has changed. I am not sure how to navigate!! Ok it has been 15 months since surgery and i NEED SOME MOTIVATION!!! HELP!!!! I have lost about 50lbs...i know i could have lost alot more if i would of been more aggressive with my workouts and my fills. So far i have 7.6 CC ( i think) as of Sept 16th and just now i am starting to feel restriction. it is not constant, it comes and goes...so one day i am ok eating wild rice and the next i get stuck and the pain starts. Since sept i have been going up and down ... my goal for New Years was to get below 230 lbs...i dont see that happening since on MOnday the scale said 235lbs. I have a Appt coming up pn the Dec 23rd...just in time for the Xmas feast. I am hoping for a small fill and i know i wond be eating any yummy pot roast, roasted chicken...ect I need some advice... some motivation. Something to stop me from reaching for " crunchy carbs" I have been going to the gym 2 times a week and doing some weight at home.I am focussing on my abdominal area since the SudoPrego belly has got to go! Winter is here and i kow i will be getting Cabin fever at home with my 3 young kids...so i need to keep busy ...staying away from teh kitchen I know that i should be proud of what i have acomplished so far...after all it took me 10 years to gain the 100lbs that i am trying to loose in 2 years. Hope everyone is well !!!

Noticing that i have to tell people I cant eat like that.
DITO!! my husband forgets as he is making pancakes and sausage yesterday morning and he gets a little hurt when i tell him i can have one link and maybe nibble on a small piece of pancake.. He never cooks so thinks that i should eat it... It also happens when he get cravings and want me to join him in a little latenight snack... He has lost some weight and i want him to keep it off...but he needs to realize that i have stay away from my "crunchy carbs" as much as i can...since the next day im getting up before everyone else and going to the gym to burn off the little snack i had that night. I hope he gets it!!

16 months Post-op
I can understand where you are coming from. For me it has been 14 months post op and i have only lost 52 lbs. But i do have to concider that after 7 fills i am just starting to feel restriction and having food get stuck. Unfortunaly i am not eating well, I am having my 4 meals plus snacks.... and in the last 2 weeks since Halloween i have been going crazy with my kids chocolate goodies!! Bad really BAd!! I have back problems so for a low impact woorkout i get on the elliptical, it burns about 30% more calories that the treadmill. Anyways, keep up the good work. I also need to loose 50 lbs and it would be great if i could before my 2 year anniv. Let us know hoe the Laser goes

frustrated!!!!
i cant say it will work for you...but I had a fill 2 weeks ago and my scale had not moved in over 2 months. I was eating less and working out (elliptical) 3 times a week for 1 hour. I stopped going to the gym for 3 weeks because of back pain...and to my surprise the scale started moving down. I have lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks...i do plan on going back to the gym...i just think sometimes my body needs a change in the routine... another thing i noticed was that when i work out i am HUNGRY and tend to eat more... Anyways, keep your chin up!!!

Congrats!!! and loose the guilt!! Are you working out alot?

1.5 to Onederland!
that is a great goal!! i love taking pic of my kids..and i have tried squating... my knees do not like it. But hopefully when i get down bellow 200lbs it will be all good. I am still having trouble with what the clock says versus what my body says.. I have to make meals and snack for my kids so i m constantly in the kitchen...i do a lot of testing ;-( Anywyas...congrats on reaching you goal!!!!

Dating?
good for you!!! i know what you mean about sucking it in... or showing you good side.... I have been married for almost 8 years to a wonderfull man that fell in love with me when i was 220lbs.... then we had 3 kids and when i finally decided to look into the Band i was 285!!! But my whole life i was huge compared to all the people around me. it is really hard. Now i am 235 and hoping to get below 200. I want to go on a date with my husband where i dont feel occuard ( he is not big) and want to go dancing and not feel people looking at me for the wrong reasons... ANYWAYS... CONGRATS on stepping out there !!

Ok, finally deciding I need support!
It has almost been a 1 year for me and i have lost 42 lbs...not much compared to others... I have been keeping a food journal and i have been working out 2-3 times a week...i dont get of the elliptical till it tells me i have burned atleast 400 calories. One thing you have that i dont, is retriction...i have had 5 fills and i still dont feel much restriction and get hungry between meals.... It took me 10 years to gain 100 lbs and my realistic goal is to loose it in less that 2 years. I have not lost any significant weight in the last 2 months...im steady and that pisses me off. BUt i keep telling myself that am loosing and try to keep a positive view. If you do not feel comfortable with the nurse, the go somewhere else. Remember this is a business and you are a costumer. my guess is that if you start going to the gym...you body will wake up and the weight will come off. Best of luck!!!

Dont Get Angry and Eat!!!!!
dito!!! I HAVE 3 SMALL KIDS AND OUT OF THE '5 STUCK MOMENTS' I HAVE HAD... 4 HAVE BEEN FROM GETTING FUSTRATED WITH MY KIDS AT MEAL TIME AND GETTING STUCK WITH WHAT I SWALLOWED WHILE YELLING AT THEM... OUCH! THANKFULLY THE FOOD GOES DOWN AFTER 20-30 MINS. NOW I EAT BEFORE OR AFTER I FEED MY 3 MONSTERS

First fill...Where did it go?
take it easy... i have had 5 fills and still dont feel much restriction. Everyone is different. I am almost at my 1 year anniv and i have lost about 42 lbs.... not much compared to others in the site BUT i look at it in a positive light. My clothes fit me well, i am shrinking slowly but surely!. Best of luck
-
Just some thoughts...
no flying?!! i understand they dont want you to get on a plane 2 hous after a fill in caseyou are overfilled....but NEVER... yeah righ! My DR in Boston is really conservative. i have to wait 2 months between fills...maybe that explains why i have (only) lost 42 lbs in11 months I moved from Miami to Boston and my1st winter i was not prepared for it!! i am now a big believer in HATS to stay warm. good luck
-
discouraged
take it easy... i Have been stuck at 240lbs for the last 4 months!!! I have had 4 fills and i still have little restriction, but im sure i will get to the sweet spot. It just takes time for some. YOu will get your 1st fill and u will feel a difference. My 1 year anniv is Sept 30th and my goal is to loose 10lbs by then so that my total loss will be 50lbs!. doesnt sound like much but it is when you look at "50 lbs bags of rice"...lol best of luck!

Happy Days
i had a similar experience with my 6 year old last year... we got on the ride and since the chain/belt could not be buckled we were told to get off...i felt terrible, thankfully her daddy was there and she got to ride. I have not gone back to the park, but i think i would fit now. I still have about 60lbs to loose but i really want to get there so that i NEVER have to get off a ride because i dont fit.

Is scared to have a Stuck episode
i Just got a epipsode last weelend wehile eating a slice of ham. it lasted 15-20 mins. My chest got tighght, so i got up and started walking... that wasnt working. I could feel the saliva accumilating in my mouth and i was told it was better to spit it out that to swallow. Yes, you feel like you cant breath and talk, but breathing slow and trying to burp helps. i have never had to vomit...and i hope i never do. I dont have much restriction so i know that idid not chew that ham enough. Another thing i noticed is that i get tight when i am stressing or if im sitting at the table with my kids and i am paying attention to them and not my food.

Need Info Please
read my blogs... It had been 10 months for me and my fustration has been with not having much restriction, feeling hungry between meals and the scale not moving. I still dont regret it and i know that it may take me longer but i WILL get to my Goal. 10 months = 40lbs loss

just wanted to share this with all of u..an e-mail i sent my dad...and yes i'm single
do what you NEED to do to be happy with your self and a good mother to your son. That is the most important thing! I set out to loose 100lbs.. this after it took me over 10 years to gain it....so now that i have only lost 40lbs in almost one year it seems like i have failed. BUt i have to remind myself that i am doing it slowly and safely and now i feel healthier that i have in years. I remember when i weighed 170lbs i was considered the big one, since everyone else in my family had no weight issues....so now that i am obese my family really have not been able to understand why it is taking my time to loose it. You need to sort out who you want to be in your head, just because you used to be the "fat girl" before did not make u any less worthy.... you deserve the best and give yourself credit for seeing your errors and fixing them/ That takes courage. Best of luck to you. you are strong and dare i say beautiful!!!
