Happy Days

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share something with all of you. :tt2: Last year in August at our county fair (before I was banded) I tried ridding the ferris wheel with my 5 year old daughter. Well I didn't fit. It was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever done. I was totally embarrassed!! I did ride it, but the guy just jammed the bar into my large stomach. Well this year, post banding, I did get to ride the ferris wheel with my now 6 year old daughter and it was comfortable. I am not skinny by any means, but at least now my daughter has someone to ride with and we can make more memories together.

Congratulations!!! This too is something that I look forward to once I'm banded next week! It's so embarrassing when the bars hurt you on rides or you just can't fit! Way to go!

Way to go! I had to laugh because last year when I took my kids to an amusement park they wanted me to ride on the roller coaster. Well....it was so embarassing. I had to lift up my tummy a little bit. I was just banded 2 weeks ago and I cannot wait until next summer to have that same experience that you did with your daughter! Hats off to making memories! :)

i had a similar experience with my 6 year old last year... we got on the ride and since the chain/belt could not be buckled we were told to get off...i felt terrible, thankfully her daddy was there and she got to ride.

I have not gone back to the park, but i think i would fit now. I still have about 60lbs to loose but i really want to get there so that i NEVER have to get off a ride because i dont fit.
