Noticing that i have to tell people I cant eat like that.

I am noticing that I have to tell people sorry I can't eat that way any more.

My husband and I went out to eat alot, twice a week at least. We also really enjoyed cooking. Since being banded, I have noticed that I have to continually remind him I can't eat that way. I am having a really hard time setting a boundry with him. I almost feel too guilty to say no. I feel that I really need to talk to him but I don't want to hurt his feelings. I think we need a hobby together something active that doesnt revovle around food.

I would appreciate any input..:scared2:

I am going through the same thing. My husband and I would eat out alot too, and cooking was a special time for us because we both love food. The problem is he never gains weight! Once he ordered buffalo wings from Papa Johns and I wanted to kill him. He says, oh i wish you could eat this with me...I was like you A**h*le!. That's when I could only eat i mean drink broth! blech I hate broth!! He told me that he didnt think it would change his life too. For the past 2 weeks we have not gone out to eat, and cooking at home is different. He has his foods, and i have mine. It's a learning process for the both of us.

This past weekend we went to China Town in Los Angeles. We acted like tourist and discoverd new things. That was alot of fun. We're planning to see the Pacquiao fight this Saturday with friends. Then to the Getty's museum on Sunday.

Let me know what your plans are.

Take Care,

Dana you are right my husband and I are trying to find new things to do together. I am trying to encourage him to walk with me. It's going to be a real adjustment for him too.

DITO!! my husband forgets as he is making pancakes and sausage yesterday morning and he gets a little hurt when i tell him i can have one link and maybe nibble on a small piece of pancake.. He never cooks so thinks that i should eat it... It also happens when he get cravings and want me to join him in a little latenight snack...

He has lost some weight and i want him to keep it off...but he needs to realize that i have stay away from my "crunchy carbs" as much as i can...since the next day im getting up before everyone else and going to the gym to burn off the little snack i had that night.

I hope he gets it!!
