  1. So Right! Thank God is what I try to do for all the things in my life. I am not going to make the 100 lbs loss for July 29th, but I am not discouraged, or defeated for all things are possible with God and I know that! I will lose what my body needs for me to lose when the time is right, and It may be more or less than that 100 and I will accept whatever it is and rejoice! I am down about 84-85 on any given day in just about 10 1/2 months, and I can live with that! With a little unfill to correct a tightness and inflamation, no real good weight loss for a couple of months due to it, a minor setback, and we will experience those too, but I am going on and going strong! You are too and have been an inspiration to me and I follow your blog. We are lifers now! LOL Keep up the good work and you look amazing by the way!

I know you are so excited, we all are for you! It so seems like a long time till you have the surgery, then you have more liquids, but you will not feel the hunger pains after the surgery, at least I did not, but I "Thought" I was hungry, LOL. Prayers for you and the Surgery Date for your Re-Birth on you Birthday, Happy Birthday to YOU! Yeah!
  3. You will feel better, we all went through that first bad day or two, it is Major Surgery and can not get past that one! Why are you throwing up the meds? Are they liquid? They should be, I had liquid loritab. Try melting an aspirin in water, it is pure and helps with my pain when I have any now. The stitches will be painful inside where the port is attached to your grisel inside for a few days, not severe tho, if you keep having pain and or are throwing up do call your Dr's office and report it. Best of Wishes here and prayers too!
  4. 1. Stopped eating between meals too much. 2. Stopped eating out everyday-NO BUFFET! 3. Stopped Sitting so much! MORE ACTIVE! 4. Drinking more water! 5 Exercising more! Joined the local Gym. 6. Walking more steps. 7. I am listening to my inner self-more positive! 8. I am making better food choices. 9. I am off any prescription meds! 10. I am helping others to see they can change! 11. I am overcoming obstacles. 12. I am more in tune with my faith and savior. 13. I am eating healthier and increasing my longevity by doing so. So you see there is more to this than looking pretty, sexy and losing the pounds. Want to FEEL BETTER? Write your reasons down and look at them, tape them to your computer screen, you will be reminded daily WHY you chose to change your life!
  5. See there, just got my "Fix" from all of you and now I can go to work! Love it! Have a great day all!

Change up your diet, do not get more fills till you lose more weight. Go to straight Protein for three days, then add 20 grams of Carbs for three days, then 30 grams of carbs for 3 days until you are up to 50 grams of carbs a day, stay there till the weight starts dropping. You will lose! Walk or jog or do some exercise for 30 minutes a day every day and LOG the food comsumption. Cut down to Skim Milk and use WHEY ONLY Protein Powder, Body Fortress Strawberry or Chocolate is very Good and LOW in Carbs and HIGH in Protein, get in at least 80 grams of Protein everyday to avoid hair loss.
  7. :confused:Just have to log on before bed each night and one time in the morning, to check out this website! I must say I am addicted to it! I just love you all and am so encouraged to hear from you, get those little words of encouragement, that make me feel on top of the world!!! THANKS! I have a friend who did not have the LAP-BAND® AP, she has lost the same amount of lbs as I have and has also joined the Gym, she had three children, I had four. I (as a Real Estate Broker) sold her the house she lives in, yet she is younger than me and does not have the skin issues I have to deal with, I am so proud for her, but my problem was not hers. I could always follow a diet, and keep the weight I would lose off for a good while, and then here it came creeping back on again! So~~~I got the band, and well I do not regret it, never will. When I commit to something, I am right there in support of the cause 100% Everyone is different~isn't that nice? That diversity is what makes this world and this site so interesting to me. This site and this Band has brought every culture, race and gender together as one in the cause to beat obesity for good! Praise God for the Band. Have a nice night all!:sneaky::sleep:
  8. So happy for you, the beginning of the Journey with the band seems strange and that is because IT IS, and we don't really know how to react with it, but each day is a learning experience and most of us LOVE the change it brings each new day. God Bless! Congrats!
  9. Being in Onderland is Wonderful, that is a present in itself. Happy Birthday to you! Congrats on your success, I enjoy your post and the great recipes you share with us. Look forward to coming home from work, clicking on this site and seeing all the post!

Happy Birthday, the big 30, and wow you have a lot to celebrate, a whole new life ahead, I was so depressed at turning 30 it took a diamond ring to make me feel better! LOL You are doing terrific! I enjoy your blogs, keep them coming.
  11. So gald to hear you are doing well, I had very little gas pain, just a sore shoulder once in awhile, I walked too, a lot each day in the early mornings with my dog and I healed fast, about the fourth day, I just had a little soreness, and no real pain, so I got off the liquid loritab. Went back to work at the end of 7 days. God Bless, so proud you are mending well.
  12. Sounds good to me, I am not your Dr., but 11 months out and down 84, I too see others at my stage who have lost 125 lbs and think what am I doing wrong? Nothing, our bodies are different, different in metabolism, age, bone structure etc. I had some hair loss, not going bald or anything, but when I would shampoo in the shower more was coming out than normal about the sixth month, that has since stopped, but I am not losing the weight as fast now either, about 5 lbs per month average instead of 8 to 10. Don't rush it, you will really get bumbed, just enjoy that fact that 30 lbs are gone and they are NOT coming back!!!! Pat yourself on the back and continue the Journey. Congrats!
  13. Good for you, you do have to be aggressive sometimes, and if you feel you need to be tightened you probably do, we have to learn to read our bodies! Best wishes to you.
  14. This is a great diary for us all, good to put it all out there, Better out than in, my grandson says! LOL Really it is good therapy to be blogging and then getting feedback from those who know and live like "WE" do everyday, I mean us with the LapBand, cause really no one else feels like us! I enjoy reading your posts! I never tire of this site and I am almost 11 mos out!

Don't put your self down too much, you look good and you have done good, more weight loss will come. I too have to set some rules and start to follow them again, we all get lax at times, just hang on it IS coming soon!
  16. :tt1:Walkin can make you feel really invigorated, and relieves stress (and Gas~right after surgery) So walk more and feel better. Workouts at the Gym are just that, a workout, I don't particularly like to sweat, but it is burning up excess fat, so sweat I do!!!! And do it well I might add. Heading to the Gym anyone? ME!!!!
  17. Enjoy your post, keep that attitude sweetie and you will be fine, can't wait to see your pics as you lose the weight! Your Dad will be ready to do this soon, I have a sister watching me too! She wants it and her insurance pays for it too!
  18. You are going to be so happy that you took this opportunity, I feel healthy and safe knowing that I won't be needing artificial knees and hips too soon! I am 10 months out and feeling so good! Going to try to take off 20 lbs more and then maintain some.
  19. Good for you it will be here before you know it! God Bless!
  20. Praying for you, you will look very stylish in the pretty night gown they give you with no back in it! LOL I did, but i loved the HAT! It added the finishing touch to my outfit! LOL Great Attitude!

Hi Meg, I am 10 months post, lost 84 lbs total! Felt the same things you have, I think we all have if we just admit it! Thanks for being so honest about your feelings, that is the first step you have taken toward the healing YOU needed. We are here, if not in person, then this is good therapy for us all anyway! Hang on each day is a learning day with the Band, we are forever Bandsters. Get a tablet and Make yourself write down lst, your mood, 2nd the food intake, 3rd the exercise you had, 4th the fluid intake and water. You will be amazed at what you consume, I rolled 3-4 lbs around for a month and a half thinking that was ALL I was going to do! Then I did the 4 steps above and dropped 6 lbs. then kept it off for a month and dropped another 1.3 lbs yesterday. It will happen don't get discouraged!
  22. Good for you, have a great day, keeping your self motivated is the best thing you can do for YOU! You will improve day by day, it only gets better with the LapBand! God Bless YOU!
  23. You look beautiful and amazing, one thing I can tell from your photos is how friendly and positive you are and how your inner beauty shines through! God Bless you! You are doing fine and on the right road to a new life in health. One day not too far from now you will look back on these photos and say "That was me?" I know how you feel I have clothes that I wore a few years ago that I can still get in to and not that much change from then, but from where I got to, LOL, there is change, down 84 lbs now 10 months out, feelin great! I know this is a forever committment and I will be smaller yet next year this time, looking forward to hitting my goal of 100 lbs. Continued wishes for your success! Will keep in touch.
  24. :frown:Hey a loss is a loss! Down 1.3 lbs this morning! Yeah! When you have taken off over 80 bs, the losses slow down some, well lets face it, I have lost a great percentage of my excess body fat, so you have to realize things will slow down, that is why on EVERY DIET there is the last 20 lbs or so is soooooo harrrrrd to lose! Working hard for the next 10 lbs, hope for it in two months! That is the plan anyway. Was going to walk today, but it is 100 degrees and the lake I walk around is exactly 1 mile and perfectly round, just beautiful, but the Newspaper reported Snakes :mad2:(Moccosins) a lot of them crawling there, so me and snakes don't mix, here I come treadmill. Still Walkin the LapBand Walk! Here's to us Bandsters.:tt1:
  25. Bless your heart, you have had a rough go of it, Praying for you that all is good and from here on you move forward. Best of health to you.
