What I've learned from reading the blogs and meeting with the nutritionist and nurse is that the goal of the program is not necessarily for you to loss weight or to simply get insurance approval. Although both would be great, the real goal is to get you to change your habits, behaviors and mindset to prepare you to be successful post-op. Hello, I am starting the LAP-BAND® process. Thank goodness we changed insurance companies from Aetna to Blue Cross Blue Shied Texas (BCBS TX). Aetna did not approve me now I am going through BCBS TX.I would have never been approved through Aetna, no co-mobilities and BMI only 40 for the last year.
