1/6 visits for medically supervised weight loss

Hello,

I wasn't really looking forward to 6 month medically supervised weight loss program. What I've learned from reading the blogs and meeting with the nutritionist and nurse is that the goal of the program is not necessarily for you to loss weight or to simply get insurance approval. Although both would be great, the real goal is to get you to change your habits, behaviors and mindset to prepare you to be successful post-op. My realist attainable goals between now and my next appointment are to drink strictly water, no sugar and no fast food. Sound ambitious, I know.

Good luck me:tt2:

LAP-BAND Patients

Welcome aboard!!

You catch on quick and will probably do well.

The wait is also a great time to research and learn everything you can about the band.

Great goals and very achievable. Drinking only water is easier than you think unless you are a soda junkie. If you need something sweet, throw a packet of 5 cal Crystal Light into it.
