  1. Larend, You just raise that chin and be proud. You are going to do it. You will do it. You sound like a strong person from your posts and I believe in you. You will get the last laugh. Know what I have noticed? My family, neighbors and friends ask me for advice and want me to walk with them ( whew ) . They are suddenly worried I mean inspired by me and want my help. They start on the diet /exercise and give up. Just like me before. Now my band keeps me full. My wonderful band. edie
  2. You are so BRAVE. I have always wanted to but didn't go thru with it. I am so impressed. I am so envious. What will you do next? I did white Water raft and it was fun and very dangerous. I love water but those rocks can break bones if you hit them right/wrong. edie
  3. Love it. Melted cheese over it. Yumm. No problem here either. edie
  4. Try lap-band.com for doctors in you area. Best of luck, edie
  5. Hello my name is Edie and I am a cheese addict. I ate lots (well... lol) of cheese with my band. Not a problem. I bought those individual baby bells at Sams (70 calories a piece). edie
  6. Has anyone tried Orville Reddenbacher Carmel Popcorn cakes. Yumm They have 40 calories per cake. They look like those tasteless rice cakes but are made from popcorn with carmel. They fill me up. edie
  7. Hey Kelly, I had the cute newlywed Dr Schuster too. edie

Didn't I see in the preview for next season that Kate is preggers (Sawyer)? edie
  9. When I starting seeing the scales NOT move, I started counting calories. I hated it because it was like being on a diet . I stayed at 1100 daily.. If I was still hungry after my 1100 I would try to fill up on sf popsicles. gook luck, edie
  10. Yes Meg, lots of opinions, people , experiences and a few comedians. Check out the thread "thread killer". edie
  11. Dear Andree, Thats how they make money, pay their bills , their employees and make profit to stay in business. You will be okay. Worry about the liquid part of the diet. That is the roughest. My doctor told me it would help with surgery . I would be less sore. It made sense so I stuck to it. I had never been or tried a liquid diet before. I was an Atkins diet addict . edie
  12. I was taking 12 pills and 2 shots . Now 1 depression (anti anxiety) pill and a hormone first 12 days each month. Wooo hoo.
  13. Sounds like you would be a good candidate for eating 6 meals a day instead of 3. edie
  14. It was such a good decision for me. You sound like the type who is determined . You do need determination with the band. The fears I had ... never get to eat good stufff or eat at my fav restaurant was totally untrue. Best wishes, edie
  15. Dear Laurend, When I had my final consult with my surgeon he asked what questions do you have. I had to admit I didn't have any. So he proceeded to show me a band and tell me what he wanted to say. It went fine and I did have a few questions then. I just get all excited just reading your post. I can remember how I felt sitting in his patient room. If I had know then how WELL it was going to work for me I would have planted a big kiss on him. I would have been bouncing off the walls. I just didn't really know how it would FEEL. It says you get full but until it happens my mind just didn't understand. best wishes, edie
  16. I love listening to horror/scifi audio books with my ipod. I AM so commercial but I am listening to Cell by S. King. It is really good so far. Just a hint : it is a horror story about cell phone use. Hmmmm edie
  17. My surgeon gave me a list of things to have at home . I was just in from about 6 am until 230 pm. You will need someone to drive you home. I could of made it easily at home by myself. I don't think you will have to have anyone with you once you are driven home. edie
  18. Thank you . Proving that you cannot lose weight that way is a waste of time. So it is for a stupid reasons. Insurance!!! My insurance does "not pay for treatment of obesity". edie
  19. I just used sf Carnation instant breakfasts or off brand. Now I use regular carnation instant breakfast meals. They taste good. All flavors. edie
  20. BEST thing and money I have ever done and spent on myself. Best wishes and I hope you will be only as sore as I was. I only had 2 days of very very mind tenderness/soreness . I still took advil ever 12 hours for 5 days per surgeon. I considered it my mini vacation. edie
  21. Could you just admit that you are on a liquid diet? Would that cover the "strange" foods you will be eating? edie
  22. I got this off one of the other sites I go to almost every day. normalroom.com Normal rooms from around the world. edie
  23. Try lap-band.com for list of doctors in your area. That is how I found my surgeon. edie
