Wow.

This time next month, I'll be banded. I can't believe it. After having so many delays, it just seems really weird that it is actually going to happen. :omg:

I have to go to Memphis for my surgeon consult and a nutrition class in 10 days. I've been trying to think of questions to ask the surgeon, but I don't know what to ask! I feel like I've been so well-educated by this site, I don't have any unanswered questions.

Congrats on you upcoming surgery! I felt the same way as you do - I found this site well before my surgery and felt very informed when I went in. In fact, I introduced my lead RN, nutritionist and doctor to LBT and now the recommend it to thier patients! They also recommend FitDay, too. They love to be able to recommend somewhere to go to ask and get answers to any question you could possibly think of.

My surgery was July 5, 2006 and I can tell you this has been the best year I've had in 20 years!

You look like you're doing wonderfully! You've lost nearly 85 pounds!

Dear Laurend,

When I had my final consult with my surgeon he asked what questions do you have. I had to admit I didn't have any. So he proceeded to show me a band and tell me what he wanted to say. It went fine and I did have a few questions then.

I just get all excited just reading your post. I can remember how I felt sitting in his patient room.

If I had know then how WELL it was going to work for me I would have planted a big kiss on him. I would have been bouncing off the walls. I just didn't really know how it would FEEL. It says you get full but until it happens my mind just didn't understand.

best wishes,

edie
