My inner thoughts, I don't share.
I could not fit in a ride seat so my children and husband went without me. I had to walk across and wait for them. It was so unpleasant. I cried on the inside cuz I did not want my children to see me in pain. Good luck on your journey. Mine has been amazing. I was banded June 29 2009 almost one year coming up. I have lost and never to return 97 pounds as of the past four weeks. I have not lost any more yet. I would love to lose 100 pounds and I will be happier. I am very HAPPY do not misunderstand, how could I not be happy I am in a size 14 down from 24 plus on a good day. Keep blogging and Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog

My first SLIMING incident.....ewww
OMG I was driving once on a highway 60 + miles and hour and slimming started. I knew I was going lose it (it all UP) I had a little plastic baggy you know the zip kind. I just pulled off and sure enough up and out and I was fine. I never travel with out a plastic baggy in my purse, car, glove box, book bag. When you need one you have one. Boy did I feel batter after that. Best wishes and thanks for the reminders to chew chew chew. imaluckydog

Week 48....Worst Trip Ever & Sickness
Wow that was a TRIP!!! I never much like France either. Funny I am just now getting around to reading "My Life in France" by Julia Child. She does make it sound like a different place back in the day! Not Today that is for sure. I stay in the good ol US of A. Tomorrow is another day and I know you will be feeling much better. I am under the weather a little today now that I think about it. I am just going to take the day off. Welcome home and there really is no place like HOME. Best wishes and Thanks for sharing. unexpected gas pains 2 yrs postop
It just started for me as well, I have been banded 10 months. I had an unfill and thought that might help. I now am experiencing burping while laying down and gas pains, along with gurgling and hiccuping. I am not liking this one bit. I do hope this does not last long or I am on my way back into the Dr.'s office. I am coming up to my one year bandversary soon. I am looking into an antacid. I hope that works. imaluckydog

5 days post op
You sound like you are going to be just fine. This is the time to heal yourself. I also had a brief diarrhea attack but it does go away. Drink your fluids and follow all the rules. With the nice weather get out and walk it helps so much with the pain. Keep a positive attitude and time will pass. Best wishes to you on your journey. imaluckydog

No restriction???
Don't be worried I did not feel any REAL restriction until I got my third fill. Just keep following the rules as a fill could kick in. Mine always happened three to four days after the fill. I would feel different. Be patient all will be well and enjoy where you are now in your journey. I am nine months into this and down 97 pounds Best wishes imaluckydog

Banded 3/31
You will be able to go to sit at a dance recital. You may be still in pain. If you are not jumping around and just watching it should be OK. This is your time to heal I am not sure driving is recommended on the medicine we take. All will work out. Best wishes. imaluckdog

Omg!! Too tight again!!!!
I have had this happen too. Why does the band get tighter after a while? I am not under any stress. My band tightened after 5 month of being just right. I had to have some removed as well. I feel better now although I am still maybe too tight. Best wishes imaluckydog

Surprising Dress Experiment
Don't you just love this!!! Yes, going down a size each and every one has made such a big difference for me too. Just getting into a size I did not think I was, was a shocker a huge step in the best direction. I wore a dress around the house for an afternoon until my husband got home from work because I could not believe my size had change that much. And that I could fit into it. He just took me out to dinner and we had a date it was so cool. I am so excited for you. Best wishes imaluckydog

Bought a size 12 tonight! Not a 24W anymore! Whoo Hooo!
I LOVE my band too!! I am so happy for you, I know how it feels. It is nice to have your arms just hang down next to your body and not feel like they are sticking out. It is that thinner feeling I am getting used too and I like it a lot. Congratulations to you we are both working so hard playing with our bands and we are making great music together. I love to follow your blogs. Best wishes imaluckydog

Diet Pepsi
Let me just say you will fell better if you do NOT drink it with the bubbles still in it. It can give way much gas. I am not one to be able to burp so the gas was painful. I did try drinking a FRESCA my Soda Pop of Choice I had one and have not had another and it has been 9 months and I am down 97 pounds. I do not even think about soda today. Best wishes. imaluckydog

Promblems not feeling full after eating!!
Oh you can do this!! I just had an Un-fill after about 5 months. My band started to tighten all on it's own. I was shocked. I had 3 nights of acid reflux and in I went to the Dr.'s Office and I am still very tight. They know it too because they did two barium swallows. I stayed the same weight for 4 weeks. I was having a fit. If you can get OFF THE ICE CREAM it will help you to lose. Plus it will clog your arteries and slow you down. Once in a while but the high fat stuff will slow your metabolism down and it is high in empty calories.

question about chest and band tightness
Hi I had those pains for about one month. I asked and it is the healing taking place inside. I also felt tugging and pulling on the inside too. Move slowly and no jumping around for a while. Let everything settle. This is your time to heal and take care of yourself. Call your Dr. for any questions I did and they are more than glad to help you, they almost want to hear from you. I still have a hard time burping I just can't so I end up with a lot of little gurgles sounds. I just try to relax my throat it helps. Best wishes I am sure all will be well soon. Keep blogging it helps. imaluckydog

Nine months
Hey thanks my friends for all the positive feed back. I have been working harder on this (playing with my band) for the past nine months and the journey has been so exciting. I am getting close to losing 100 pounds and the scale moved yesterday after 4 weeks of staying the same. I find it so amazing how my body does not want to let go. Staying positive has helped me get this far. Please sun come out today so I can feel just a little bit better, I need to dry out from all the rain. Best wishes to all imaluckydog

I failed my lap-band. Starting over 7 years post-op
Hi, I know you can get back on track. It sounds like this is what you really want now for yourself. Sorry for the loss, it is hard to do this on your own. I agree ice cream Is something I like more now that I am banded. But I eat only very small amounts (high in FAT) I do not want to be FAT anymore and it sounds like you want thin too. I was banded 9 months ago and have lost 99 pounds as of this morning. I go to the Nutritionist / Dietitian almost every month. These people know food and there nutrients. They know What and how much of it to eat. It is all about body chemistry. They recommend to me Eat Food. Not Much. Mostly Plants and Protein first. I do try not eat any thing from a box or package. I make most all my own foods and eat nothing with more than 5 ingredients listed. Read the labels. Best wishes and please join me on my wagon we can help each other on our journeys together. imaluckydog
