Banded 3/31

I just got banded on Wednesday and thankfully I have been able to reduce the pain meds to only before I go to sleep. Today was the first day that I have actually felt hungry, what a horrible feeling. I'm also having those "gassy" feelings that wont go away. Hopefully they will go away soon.

How bad was it the day after surgery? I got my band date then the same evening my 6 year old brings home a notice from her dance teacher that her dance performance is the day after my surgery. I was hoping that I may have a chance to go. Apparently mothers are supposed to be on stage so the girls can give them a kiss. I would hate to jack myself on pain meds only to get there and well...have "gassy" issues.

The gas from the surgery is usually around the shoulder or side, although I passed gas a lot to walk it off and get rid of it! After the first couple of weeks, you return to normal after the effects of the anethesia wears off. The pain will go away after 6 or 7 days, and is mild in comparison to other surgerys I have had done, I love my band, you are doing great and on this journey with us! You will be so happy!

You will be able to go to sit at a dance recital. You may be still in pain. If you are not jumping around and just watching it should be OK. This is your time to heal I am not sure driving is recommended on the medicine we take. All will work out. Best wishes. imaluckdog
