pain?
Explain that mommies tummy is tender now and that may help them to understand you will be sore there. But not for long. I had 2 C sections and LB is not that bad. You will be sore but it will pass. You will not be able to pick the kiddies up!!! Bending over may be a challenge as well. I was 100% in two weeks. You will need time to heal, take that time. Best wishes imaluckydog

The Fat Mommy [@ the playground]
I'm back because I thought about you all morning. You are wonderful beautiful mother and your beautiful little daughter is the light of your life. You are the light of hers. Walk proud hand in hand and Be yourselves the best mom to the most precious of all. First they grow up so fast and she is in a toddler stage so much changes to little one as they grow taller. I watched my own change it is amazing. I just wanted to say to you you are being the BEST mom this little girl could ever have. Keep it up and for me I found keeping focus on myself made me feel better. Do not listen to others. Best wishes imaluckydog

The Fat Mommy [@ the playground]
OMG we live in a world of Prejudices!!!!! It sucks. My son a college student said to me after I lost a lot of weight. "I really liked you larger there was more of you to love"......Then he said he knows I feel better now and I will live longer and he is happy for me that I have lost all the weight. He is proud of me. He even said I look hot!!!! LOL from my son! Go figure... I did feel I needed to make apologies to him for being a fat mother. I know it was hard on him. He said you were my mother and I loved you just the same. I would really like to help stop FAT Prejudice. Best wishes imaluckydog

not a good day. :(
Yes, it took me almost 2 weeks to feel better. I do not know how some people write about being back at work in 3 days OMG go figure. I needed two full weeks. I did baby myself but it was worth it. Let me just say you really will be feeling better in no time it will go by fast. Yes, easy for me to say..... I look back and I was banded on the last day of June and I am more than half way to my year! I do not know where the time has gone? The only pain I have ever had was in those two weeks. I have felt on top of the WORLD ever since. Look at the big picture. Take care of yourself and follow all band rules. I have lost 90 pounds I am a different looking and feeling person about myself today. It is a wonderful extraordinary journey we are on. Best wishes on your journey. imaluckydog

When Men start noticing!!
Hold that head high and enjoy the ride it gets better. I have really been happy since my band date of June 29. I am on a cloud now I have lost a good chunk like a small child worth of wt. 90 pounds and I look in the mirror and see half of myself. That is so weird. People fall all over me that have not seen me in a while and I just smile and say thank you. I has been hard work getting to know how my body handles this band. I have been playing with the band for so long now. It is important to enjoy these wonderful new experiences. Best wishes imaluckydog

changing bad habits
Oh it will sink in I love FOOD I must say! I have always tried everything I wanted to eat. I go slow and try to let my body tell me if this is a good choice and amount. I have been learning everyday since June 29 my band Birthday. I have had three fills so far. I am as tight as I ever wanted to be EVER. I always thought that small people eat small amounts so therefore if I want to be small I should eat small. It has worked thus far. I find it hard to believe I have lost 90 pounds in eight months OMG. I look in the mirror and I am not sure I know the person I see. I do feel great I am in a size 14P I have never been that size before in my life. Go figure. It has been an amazing journey all of which I would do again if I had too. I have made many, many mistakes and I have learned from each and everyone. I am still making mistakes as my body has changed and when that happens I need to adjust. I no longer take knee medicine or high blood pressure medicine. No more head aches and body aches. I have so much energy I can run up stairs two at a time. I have no problem breathing. I still think about food 24 7. I watch food on TV and I cook all day. I consider myself a FOODY.... I like really good food. No more crapy foods for me, I make my own meals and I love it. I usually have problems eating out. It seems I make poor choices. I am learning and I love to blog that is the BEST part. Best wishes with your choices. Enjoy the journey. imaluckydog

5 months post op
Work with the band and it will work for you! A little slip or lb. is not in the Big Picture. We all lose at different rates. Look at how well you have done. Congratulations 46 ish is GREAT enjoy the loss. When I got my third fill that is when I found my sweet spot. So go slow and remember to chew. I did not feel the effects of the fill until 4 to 5 days after the fill so it kind of tricked me. Best wishes and keep up the great journey. I'm on it with you. imaluckydog

Pre-Op Diet Day 4 and a little about myself
I love PINK!!! Countrychic, I also cry everyday!! I really do. But my tears are joyous ones now. I still cry it makes me feel better. I was banded on June 29, 2009. I started at size 24 plus and now down to size 14 P because I am short. I cannot eat a lot of food anymore so I cry when I have to share my beautiful large dinner portion with my husband. I always order what I want to eat. I cannot eat much and more is what I always want. I do a lot of my own cooking now. I have had three fills and I have been at that sweet spot like forever now. I had group psychology 101 and could NOT miss one our LB journeys all take time. Just remember GOOD THINGS are worth the wait. I had infertility and now my two children are in college. OMG so where does the time go. Keep coming back to this site it helps to blog and connect with others like yourself. We care. Best wishes and keep us posted. imaluckydog

Feeling FABULOUS!
Hi YM, I just read your post I thank you know who everyday!!! You are BEAUTIFUL! Which reminds me of a song my kids put on a CD they made for me before they went back to college, I have no idea who the artist is but It goes like "Big Girl, you are Beautiful You take your girl and multiply her buy four now a whole lot of women needs a whole lot more and curves in all the right places. something like that.... Anyway I am and have been a BIG GIRL my entire life. I just never felt very good about it. I listen to this song and I have been able to deal. I started as a 24 plus and I have shrunk to a size 14 P because I am short! This band has done for me what no diet could have ever done. I do miss eating a lot of food I really enjoyed eating a lot. I just cannot do that any more. Like Janet I need to tighten up my stomach to fit in to the 12 pants. I fit into size 12 dresses which is way cool. I am going to look into a physical trainer program and see if I can find one to work on specific body areas. My head will always think of myself a a big girl. I am starting to enjoy that girl today. Best wishes and you are Beautiful! imaluckydog

... I need to VENT!!
Yes, you will survive this...You need to ask for help it is OK to do that! You are not supposed to do it all by yourself. The YMCA is a great starting place the twins will love it. You will get some Mommy Time Very Important I must say. It is Ok to cry. This time (kids ages) was the hardest for me. I cried all the time. No kidding... Set limits and stick to them. It really does get easier you are a strong person and YOU CAN DO IT!!! You and the kiddies will be happier. Best wishes imaluckydog
