Feeling FABULOUS!

Let's call it metamorphosis - the closest thing I can liken it to is a caterpillar cocooning and turning into a buttterfly. Except my cocoon has mirrors and I allow the occasional visitor. I'm definitely undergoing a transformation, my fill is working, I'm rarely hungry and when I am I eat small portions. I'm officially a size 22 dress which is for me a BIG deal, even though I've been a size 22, 20, even an 18 in jeans, I haven't gotten below a 24 top. So my dresses were always in the size 24-28 range depending on the cut and store.

Officially a size 22 which is for ME a HUGE deal, I feel GREAT.. I feel fantastic.. I feel....FABULOUS!

I'm definitely in the middle and midst of something great and I can't wait for it to continue.

NSV this week - Down from a size 48D to 40DDD - yes they actually got BIGGER! lol..

Down from a 24/26 dresss to a 22

Double chin has almost vanished completely!

Taught myself how to do "professional" looking makeup.

Rocked absolutely everything I wore...

And then ran into an old friend who just CHEESED when he saw me and couldn't get over or stop saying how great I look. That was just amazing (especially since he's the best friend of an ex boyfriend lol) this is absolutely 100% the BEST thing I ever did for myself.. I know I'm experience God results and my change is rapid and I'm SO thankful for it. Praise Him!

Praise the Lord, you are in wonderful Spirits, that is what it takes to get to where you are meant to be. Trust in him, I did and lean not on your own understanding. I looked to the sizes too, I would only focus on going down a size, kept trying them on every week until one day I was down another size!!!! About every 10 lbs I go down a whole size! So I work for 10 lbs increments. I started out a 24W and now I can just buy 14R off the shelf!!! It is so awesome! I can put on the 12's, but just can't zip them up yet! A lot has to do with the excess stomach but I don't have that much, cause I joined the Gym two months post op and work out 2-3 times a week. I am so Thankful for my friends here on LapBandTalk and for my opportunity to have this Surgery and my God who kept me through it and keeps me now.

Congrats!!

To be honest I have no clue what all those size numbers are all about because we (men) measure our clothing by how many Xs come before the L.

But it sounds like a really good thing and I'm happy for you!!

Don't go too crazy buying clothes that will be too big for you in a week or two.

Hi YM, I just read your post ;-) I thank you know who everyday!!! You are BEAUTIFUL! Which reminds me of a song my kids put on a CD they made for me before they went back to college, I have no idea who the artist is but It goes like

"Big Girl, you are Beautiful

You take your girl and multiply her buy four now a whole lot of women needs a whole lot more

and curves in all the right places. something like that....

Anyway I am and have been a BIG GIRL my entire life. I just never felt very good about it. I listen to this song and I have been able to deal. I started as a 24 plus and I have shrunk to a size 14 P because I am short! This band has done for me what no diet could have ever done. I do miss eating a lot of food I really enjoyed eating a lot. I just cannot do that any more.

Like Janet I need to tighten up my stomach to fit in to the 12 pants. I fit into size 12 dresses which is way cool. I am going to look into a physical trainer program and see if I can find one to work on specific body areas. My head will always think of myself a a big girl. I am starting to enjoy that girl today. Best wishes and you are Beautiful! imaluckydog

LOL B - nah I know better. I did buy my dress yesterday but it has a sash so I can tighten it as I lose. And I'm blessed to have a friend who's a designer and excellent seamstress, who's also willing to alter anything I need her to for free.

But think of it this way.. it's like going from a 4XL to an XL - Kinda of a big deal lol.

Funniest part is my friend's 7 yr old daughter was helping me put away clothes and she kept holding stuff up going "MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN THESE ARE HUGE" - now the size jeans I'm in now she's like "Ok those look like normal jeans" - out of the mouth of babes! Lol gotta love kids and their honesty.

If I do spend on anything it's on cheap jersey material clothes from those trendy stores in the mall - Now that I can fit into what they consider plus size lol.

LOL Thank you so much, and yes I know the song lol..

I've always felt beautiful and confident regardless of my size but this is different...I really had no choice but to feel good before, I've been a size 14 or bigger since I was 8 yrs old.. yes 8 as in eight lol. I can't explain exactly how I feel, maybe because I'm still going through it. It's like taking me and amplifying me to a whole new level. Like life before God.. and life after God it's just better... It's not that big of a difference weight or scale wise, the difference is internal, like a new part of me has been awakened. Like when you read the same verse over and and over and then your Pastor teaches on it and that part of you suddenly goes OHHHHHHHHHHHHH I get it now and it begins to minister to you..It's like that. I think that's the best way to explain it.. there's so much more that goes into it but that's the simple version lol..

Thank you again so much for the compliments your posts always make me smile :tongue_smilie:

Congratulations, that is amazing. I have explained this to people many times. There is a butterfly in this cacoon, she has been trying to immerge and spread her wings. Well once you work at it and use your band right, you start to crack through that cacoon and people begin to see that light you have had inside all along. Congratulations you look great!
