Did anyone have trouble changing bad habits .... eating too fast, trying something you know you should have and suffer the consequence....does it eventually sink in??

amanda3t LAP-BAND Patients February 28, 201016 yr Author stats I totally just posted about the same thing! I'm glad I'm not the only one, and I'm positive we'll learn soon enough. It just takes time and the right motivation. We need to reach our goals as much as we want to reach them, to live a healthier life. Maybe we just need to make a few mistakes first.
imaluckydog LAP-BAND Patients March 1, 201016 yr Author stats Oh it will sink in I love FOOD I must say! I have always tried everything I wanted to eat. I go slow and try to let my body tell me if this is a good choice and amount. I have been learning everyday since June 29 my band Birthday. I have had three fills so far. I am as tight as I ever wanted to be EVER. I always thought that small people eat small amounts so therefore if I want to be small I should eat small. It has worked thus far. I find it hard to believe I have lost 90 pounds in eight months OMG. I look in the mirror and I am not sure I know the person I see. I do feel great I am in a size 14P I have never been that size before in my life. Go figure. It has been an amazing journey all of which I would do again if I had too. I have made many, many mistakes and I have learned from each and everyone. I am still making mistakes as my body has changed and when that happens I need to adjust. I no longer take knee medicine or high blood pressure medicine. No more head aches and body aches. I have so much energy I can run up stairs two at a time. I have no problem breathing. I still think about food 24 7. I watch food on TV and I cook all day. I consider myself a FOODY.... I like really good food. No more crapy foods for me, I make my own meals and I love it. I usually have problems eating out. It seems I make poor choices. I am learning and I love to blog that is the BEST part. Best wishes with your choices. Enjoy the journey. imaluckydog
