4/1/10 Happy Bandiversary Bunnies!

WOW what a year we've all had! Can you believe this is our Bandiversary month already?

Remember all the nightmares of insurance approval, and no sleep the night before LB surgery because we were so excited;

It was almost heaven taking that first shower after surgery!

We had some work to do, learning how not to be a couch potato anymore.

Then we had to learn how to eat right.

and prepare healthy food;

but pretty soon we were losing weight and had to buy new clothes;

Sure there were a few unpleasent changes, like bathroom schedules;

but also nice ones, like being able to wear a bathing suit again;

Happy Bandiversary Bunnies! It's going to be one wild party;

and watch out for all the candy at Easter!

Hey congrats on your year!!! Do you have any suggestions on how to get the last 25-30 off? My one year is the 28th of May. I have lost 77 and would really like to get to 100 or as close to it as possible. My weight has all but come to a screeching halt and I am doing all the right things I believe. Any suggestions to boost me into some loss and get the rest off?

Congrats on your one year :-) you having given me so much support this year I do not even think I would have gotten my band if it where not for your support, Or with as much confidence if I did not have you to empower me forward. 'Goal Limbo' (last 25-30 lbs.) is as tough as Bandster Hell...you feel like you should be grateful for the WL you've had, but you really want to complain that the WL has stalled. I think you can still 'do everything right' and the WL will stall. The first thing I'd try is upping the water intake (by a lot...I shoot for 100-120 oz.) and then do the same with protein...up the grams. It's also good to shake things up so your body doesn't know what's coming...shake up the type of exercise day to day as well as the calorie count. Just understand that the less you weigh the more your WL will slow down and if you keep doing the same thing, even i it's the right thing, you'll keep getting what you've gotten. Sometimes WL just comes in spurts too...hang in there! Even at goal I'm working to get a few more off and they're not budging. When all else fails try the '5 day pouch test' (just do a search).

Kathy- thanks GF and have a great weekend!
