  1. BG How'd you get that picture of me?! TX- I wear shorts that have a pad, though it's not gel. I don't have a biking top, I just wear a t-shirt, but that will change in the spring. I just didn't want to invest in bike clothing at my size this past summer. I have a Giant road bike, the entry level bike. My pals and I stopped and ate at a restaurant at 28 miles. (it was 56 total). I don't usually take food with me and I only drink water. I make sure I'm hydrated before I ride, and well fuled, like bananas and yogurt a half hour before I head out. More questions?
  2. TX All I can say is get a camel back water system. Much different than an camel toe. And start training. I did my first 50+ mile ride after 3 months of riding seriously. If I had a few more months of warmer weather I'd had been able to do 100. So with 9 months I predict you can kick your BIL's ass. I weighed lots more than you do now too. So go girl. We'll cheer you on! BG- If you ever find yourself in Columbus, CALL ME. We'll get together. I'm in your state as I type. I finished my paper and we are off to go to a movie and get dinner out. YIPPIE. A normal Saturday night date!!! J
  3. I've been thinking about you all week! Take care of yourself!!!!
  4. B, I'd love to have that self compeleting homework write my paper on Classical Era Mangement Theorists that's due tomorrow and was assigned last week. I'm just getting started. I'll do well, but this is cutting it close for me. Ugh. The workout was fantastic by the way. Getting good and sweaty is always a good time.
  5. Hi my biker buddies. I've got tons of homework to do today. I will however make it to the gym today. No biking. It's too cool and I don't have the right gear. I was happy not to have to put my bike on the car for the drive to MI. XO you all.
  6. Hi TJ welcome. I'm busy going to as busy (as my brother says) a one eyed cat watching two mouse holes until Saturday. Catch up with all then.
  7. Oh, I'm not buying those boots. There is no money for that kind of stuff...that's me jonesing is all. But uber cool exercise news: There's a boxing gym close-ish to where I work. And there are two people that I work with that go there. I just talked with one of them. The gym has a "three people is cheaper" by the hour package. It's $25 per hour per person, which is pricy, but considering I don't pay for my regular gym and I'd only go the boxing place once a week, I might do it. Hell, I don't spend money at restuarants and I'm scared to buy clothes and my hair lady is stupid cheap...I could spend a little on this??? Right? Oh and the aerobars and other bike enhancements will happen in the late winter, early spring with tax money. I am practically shaking from so much caffiene but I can't seem to get focused. And, Michigan girl, what's the weather supposed to be like this weekend? I know I could look it up, but if you knew, I wouldn't have to. Think it's bike-able?
  8. I hate a lot of things right now. I want to buy some boots. I'm unable to pull myself away from Zappos.com The boots I want, I really really want cost $291. How fucking insane is that?! I refuse to spend $100 on a winter coat and I actually am drooling on threefuckinghundred dollar boots. I need a reality wack in the head. And I need to get to that pile of homework that is refusing to do itself. Grumble. grumble.
  9. It's been a solid decade since I've been to michigan music festival. I'm content to never go again. Really. Hairy lesbians don't bother me so much as standing in line with a bunch of nakkid people waiting to shower publically. Oh, and there's sleeping in a tent...Ack to it all. NBFD sounds like fun though. Mich Fest is far to serious an event. Pamela- Girl I saw you called! Sorry I missed you! I'll try this weekend. My life is more chaotic than typical. XO J
  10. Yeah, BG me too. I actually have to think, is the AC going to be on, should I dress in layers? In the past I was a freaking furnace always sweating. Oh the joy of having a regular internal themometer. I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo tired and it's big homework day. The internet connection at work is being funky too. Not a good day for that. I'll check back later. J
  11. Pushing for before the new year sounds reasonable. I'd try very hard! Good Luck, Heather! Juli
  12. HP Passing to the olive garden is understandable. It's all pasta..well there is soup and salad. Niether of which work that well for me now. Lettuce is just gross chewed to the right consistency and the soup, isn't chewy enough and I feel like I'm going to be hungry again too soon. Are you going to the pool and hot tub tonight?
  13. Talking about being attracted to fat people as a fat person. My Ex is fat and it didn't bother me. Once someone called us bookends and that bothered me. I decided from that point forward I wouldn't be with short and fat if I got another chance. Horrible but true. Tall and fat, tall and regular, short and regular. Frankly someone needs to be smart to keep my interest.
  14. Really, I was born that way...............
  15. I've just become lactose intolerant.
  16. Where did you send them? I've not got them. Try again? I'll do it from home tonight. so the juligirl01@sbcglobal.net address is the one you want. I did get one email from you, but not one with pictures attached.
  17. OMG, I'd freak if someone hit my foot with vomit!! She was very nice
  18. Ugh, smelly cars are so gross. I'd take it to get detailed and then tell why you spent $150 bucks. hehehe
  19. Nice image. You know wearing gloves could keep you from getting blisters while you churn the butter. Or STD's depending on how you churn....
  20. Stef With numb hands you only after a few minutes you are probably over reaching to your handle bars, or you could just not be fitted right on your bike. A quick try and see is to move your seat forward a bit. You'll see it's on rails, on the post, you should be able to loosen a bolt, move it forward and give it a try. Also, change hand position and open and close your hands as your ride. You can get, if you don't already have, handle bar extentions for a hybrid so you can have a different place to put them. [we do talk biking every once in a while]
  21. BG- You are killing me, girl. I'm happy I have no trees in my yard. Somehow I believe the leaves that do fall in because of the neighbor's tree don't need to be raked, well, because they are not mine. I just mow them, but they are few. I hate yard work. I do. I pity you and your trees. Give your little heathens a couple of rakes and make them do it. Okay, maybe in a few years... November 1st huh? You are such a liar. JC- I'm glad you're loving that bike. You're butt will adjust. I'm sure you can get a massage...if you pay enough or go to the seedy part of town you can get a complete one. Stef- Yeah, that's too many letters. One or two...S was a guy, Slack something. He's not been around a while...you could be ST, SE, TX??? Or you can tell my lazy ass to hit two more keys and shut the hell up. I'd accept that too. I heart you full...(which is a literal ASL translation).
  22. That didn't work! fooey If you send me your pics in email I'll post them for you. Juli
  23. It was only a pound but thanks for the props! You know what though, I just got my old navy jeans today (I heart on line ording) size 20, twenty, TWO-ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they fit just so perfectly!!!!!
  24. Well there you go. I expect you will implode shortly. You'll be fine. We've all been there. Did it taste good? Did you notice? LOL.
