Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters
Okay, my turn... What the fuck?! The other people will be nice to you, but jesus christ, if you think you should be down more than 16 pounds by this point in the game than you are out of your freaking mind. Ouch I know. But the typical weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds a week, 2.5 if you bust your ass and eat right. So remember this is the beginning. This is bandster hell. You will be hungry, you may gain back a few pounds...The reality is you're going to plateau and those 16 pounds will help out your overall average. And get ready for the plateau because those really suck hard. Go and read what to expect all over again and get your brain in line with reality. And I am coming from a place of love. I just sound like a royal bitch. Really, the defeatist talk so soon after banding just makes me a little unglued. Either you didn't do your homework, or you forgot.Either way a little education will set your mind at ease and get you thinking positive thoughts. Hugs and stuff, Juli

TX Rock on Chica! JC If I recall you were riding right along behind me and BG, you were part of our group. Was it too much? Can't you remember? Too many Amish girls blurring your memory? We all are going to be skinny fit bitches. We've got the bitch part down already, how hard can the skinny fit piece be?

One day you'll thank me for that lesson. When you are out on a group ride and they say, "That Stacy knows how to ride with a group." Because people talk about you in a way you can't help but hear them... And you'll be all proud and shit. Okay, talking about group rides. Just today there are three emails swirling around from the women I ride with: 1 Let's take SCUBA diving lessons 2 Let's sky dive 3 Women Built Habitat for Humanity opportunity Is this what skinny, fit bitches do? I'm exhausted (and terrified of the sky diving) to even thinking about it. God love um!

Marchies in October!
Hi gang, It' s been a minute since I've posted about myself. I do read everyone's postings. I'm glad to see we are still moving forward together through this journey. My weight loss is slowing. But it's going well. I'm exercising regularly and back to eating vegetables. Veggies were really hard after the fill, but I need the nutrition. Apparently my HDL cholesterol isn't high enough and my B-12 isn't high enough either. I eat Protein, but mostly fiish, not red meat. So I'm trying to play with what foods I eat. I'm not ready to fry up liver, but I'm changing my foods here and there. School is going well. I'm looking forward to December because I'll have a full three weeks off!!! Then I start graduate school! ACK!!! I'm worried about the winter and exercising so I'm making plans. I've got going to a boxing gym on the agenda and friends just suggested scuba diving! I might do that. Maybe... I can't imagine getting my 220 pound body in a wet suit in front of people but maybe.............. Hope you all are well and happy. XO

I'm so tempted to get a body bugg. It might make me more OCD about tracking stuff though. Oh, the price....oh the control....oh I wish....

You know I work at a deaf school full of sign language, and I've never seen that one. Now I'm going to have to ask the youngest deaf person on my staff if that sign translates into ASL. You sick ass bitches

BG I have a great finger workout, I'll show you sometime. Suzzie You need to shorten that. We don't allow for anything over two letters. ZZ or SZ or create your own.... As for a bike let me tell you that the biggest problem you'll have is under buying a bike. Ask HP or D. You say oh, I'm only going to ride 10 or 15 miles and you spend $300 on a regular/hybrid bike. Later, like a few weeks, you'll wish you saved that 300 and put a bit more with it to get a road bike. Really, honest and truly, unless you plan on riding on dirt, don't get a hybrid and go straight for the road bike. Don't let the skinny tires scare you. They make for a smooth ride. I was a good 260# on a road bike and it was fine. As for fit, what B said, your bike will tell you when it feels good. Test ride at least 4 and go at least 10 minutes on each...the LBS expects you to ride. And don't worry about being chubby with all the sporty folks working there. They love biking more than they care about your weight and they'll talk your ear off. We heart biking and getting fit. Welcome to the craziness.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Bandsters
Hi my little happy gay people. We are getting littler (no spell check) every day, right?! I'm overwhelmed with life right now and not checking on here as much as I used to. But yes, I too come and see what's shaking. I'm always down for a good bump....

I don't have a trainer but I'm thinking about getting one. I don't really have the space to set it up. I'll be heading to the gym more and maybe do some cross country skiing. My cycling buddies do that and have offered to hook me up. J

I use a straw at times. What's the reasoning for no straw? I've never heard that one. Funny, soda just isn't of any interest to me. I used to LOVE it before, but I can say I've not had a drop nor do I miss it.

Hi my people. I'm back at work, thinking about my work out and jealous as hell of you people who can ride year round. I hate you. Actually the weather is fine right now, it's just that it gets dark so early, hopping on the bike at 6pm only gives a girl an hour to ride. Maybe Wednesday if it's not raining I can do a bit. Glad to see we're all here. B and TX, you two are such nice additions.

I wanted to get the hell off of my bike. I've found that every time I do a new all time high (my first 20, 35, 40, 56, etc.) I was wiped out for the day. You'll be able to do a 100 mile also called a century, by August. Really. BG- I'd kill to be able to get a picture like that camel toe. Now you'd have to life my stomach ass out of the way. UGH!
