  1. B, That is quite the ego boost. You are a rock star. Nothing like a PB to turn something you love into something you run screaming from! You body bug babes are making me jones for mine. Oh why did I wait until today to get it? Why oh why?! TX- Let me preface this by saying a true nerd will educate you against your will. I'm a true nerd. Here's the back story on Gantt. Back when "management" was initally introduced during the beginning of the industrial revolution engineers were called in to find the one best way to do things. Gantt was a teacher and engineer and knew people needed visuals. The military asked him to help coordinate efforts for WWI production which he did. And the chart is his claim to fame. (I'm taking a history of management class right now hence the useless knowledge...but I loved me some Gantt charting long, long ago.) What the chart does is tell you when something should be done and how far it has progressed. It can be used for budgeting and all kinds of things too. This is what one looks like. Google it and you'll see more!
  2. ewww I agree with TX, not JC. That was unclear. Oh and we have new moniker....Fort Wayne Four. That would be JC, BG, HP and me if you haven't, and why would you, read the posts 100 pages back.
  3. TX As he said, there's no muff that's too tuff. Eww, I agree. As for the biscuit...I wish it would make me PB. So far it's rice, chicken and veggies if they aren't super mushy, and lunchmeat...oh and apple skins... And girl the spreadsheets.....excel makes me drool. I have a Gantt chart for my life's strategic plan. There are objectives etc. Sorry you all can wake up now. I am a little tightly wound. Ask the other Fort Wayne Four.
  4. Wow very cool. So that makes me want to ask how many calories does everyone target? I naturally fall around 1400 if I'm not too careful but I watch it. I can hit 1000 if I'm careful. Anything less makes me want to stab people. Also, did you or ZZ for that matter have a resting metabolic rate measured pre-surgery? I know this is a little soon to tell, BG, but does the BB mirror those findings? My RMR was 2700, which is very high and the dietician pretty much said, "Bitch, you must eat like a truck driver and move like a sloth to be 300+ pounds with that metabolism." Of course she was much more professional. I'm not sure what she said, but that's what I heard.
  5. I have to tell you someone on the BB thread said charts and graphs and I was sold. I love the visual things............ I just worked out and I'm all shaky........
  6. I'm so excited........(like the kid in the Diney commercial)
  7. That'd be one scary ass muff.
  8. JC, That only 10% of what you are going to spend on the scuba gear. you'll use this everyday. It will continuously help you lose weight....how much use of the scuba gear will you get? Just saying.
  9. On Tuesday I told my therapist I was considering it. Like it could be the thing to get the second 50% off me. I'm slowing down so terribly something's got to reinvigorate me. And it's not like I have to pay for a gym membership. Oh listen to the justifications..... And look at my insane number of posts. I'm really avoiding doind a tedious job here at work. XO
  10. It's ordered. I did it. I should be ashamed for spending that much money on myself......but wtf, it's only money.
  11. BG and ZZ you bitches. Because of you I'm going to buy a damn bodybug. I hate you. I can't wait for Christmas.... Keep me from going to the BB thread yet again. So, I buy the thing at 24 hour fitness, and use the coupon code BLC24 then I need to set up a subscription somewhere else? What does that cost? Juli, the literally and figuratively, Green Eyed Monster.
  12. caterpiller or the freaking millipead that was grossing me out nearly to the point I coudn't hide it. Okay, today there was sausage gravy at breakfast, guacamole at lunch that yours truly made from scratch, and now buttersctoch pudding. Why is rice doesn't go down but biscuits and corn chips do? fucking kill me now.
  13. Jazlady, Maybe you hurt her feelings and she doesn't have the vocabulary to say ouch. It's never fun to have someone make a comment about your weight, even if she or he is just kidding. You could try having a heart to heart. I offered my bigger clothes to my sister who said, "screw you, I plan on losing too." I got the message she didn't want to have THAT conversation with me. So I let it drop. I've always been bigger than her and now we are about the same size.
  14. SMO=super morbidly obese. BMI of 50+ I want to be two devations from the norm on the bell curve. (Damn, I'm a geek.) I think we all will be considering we are exercisers and those who do not are the ones who are just average or below average. Oh, I'm Juli Ass Kicker Carvi. Sign up and I'll kick your ass. I can take it too which is good if I'm going to dish it, no? BG-I didn't realize Korrine was super pink girlly. My child obviously isn't. Though she did ask if she could have a purple sparkly skate board.
  15. TX do you have little ones who will trick or treat? D and HP yours are too old now, right?
  16. What're Korrine and Jared being for Halloween? Zoe is being a half and half fairy. Half good and half scary. You'd think left and right with different wings, etc. But No, the top part is good and the bottom half is scary. She wants to wear her orange and black striped stockings from last year's witch's costume with a white crushed velvet and lace dress and pinkish wings. Ugh...but too cute. I see a scrapbook page!
  17. Yo Yo BG, Thanks for taking my post in the way it was meant. I too want to be like Chickie and them. JulieNYC is my hero, we are the same height and she was SMO like me so I look to her for inspiration! Holy Crap, you and those hours though. I hope the new gig has better hours. I'm thinking about asking SantaAlison for a bodybugg for Christmas if you are still digging yours in two months.
  18. I'm happy my little 6 year old will only wear sweats, t-shirts and tumbling dresses with shorts underneath. Getting her into anything that zips at the waist doesn't happen. I hope she remains that way....I can get her into a dress for fancy otherwise she'd just rather be sporty.
  19. If I'm not banned from this board I'll be surprised.
  20. Okay bitches we all need to get our "we've lost some weight and are feeling 100% better than before surgery so why the hell should I keep working so damn hard at dropping more fucking weight? It's the uber candy, holiday, food coma time of year and I just don't give a shit" asses in line before we become the statistic of those who only lose 40-60 % of their excess weight. That statistic is for the rest of this board where the chubby people cry and moan about having to exercise and wait for their band to do all the work. They are going to be waiting so long that they'll take that measaly percentage and convince themselves that better is good enough. Well piss on that shit (as my Dad would say.) He'd be proud of my peppered language so far. English isn't his first language and he loves to swear! Okay. BG, put the popcorn down. Go look at yourself nakkit and wobble the stomach ass. Ready for the TT or do you need to lose a few more pounds? (ouch!! but I can't bring myself to hit delete) That bodybugg will get you moving, if not let me know I'll biuy it from you! D, I know you're busy. Put exercise earlier in your day so you don't get too distracted to fit it in. Why the hell aren't you running? You're my hero and I started running 20 pounds early because if you could do it so could I. I'm up to running 1 minute, walking 1 minute for a full 20. Yeah me, I run 10 freaking minutes. HP-Girl I'm so proud you joined the gym! I know DH was a bit against the idea so doing it was a challenge. You go girl. I mean you go, girl, every day or many days! With out the long bike rides we all have to find ways to keep the calories burning. J-I'm talking to myself now-step away from the food. Put the fork down and get back to basics. Eat more fish and cook the hell out of veggies so you get some in your body. And take a hike! Get outside and do something for a few hours at a time. JC-get better. B-uh, I dunno. You should be fine. ZZ and TX, I really don't know if you need a firm talking to or if I know you well enough to get all up in your business. Actually, I would anyway...let me know if you need an ass kicking. Much love and hugs. [please don't hate me]

2 An Aztec frog on my upper arm, A tea pot and cup on my hip that will be removed with a TT. Thinking about having it redone later.
  22. Whew, I'm glad you responded that way. Thanks.
  23. Oh, my skin just crawled....first of all I have a DD who is 6 and I struggle to keep her looking decent with what's on the market. I feel y'all. Also I stopped her from running in the back yard (fenced) at 3 because a friend joked about neighbors taking photos from second story windows and posting them on line. GASP! Protecting ones child is important. But the "please rape me" statement scares me. Regardless of what a person, woman or child wears never is that an invitation to be raped. It's as important to teach our little girls to respect their bodies as it is to teach our little boys to respect a girl's body regardless of what she might be wearing. Getting off my soap box.
