  1. BG- I've just found the paper you put your address with home phone on it for the girls to pen pal. Don't be surpirsed if I call...
  2. I just got a combo picture of Ed Bradly and Tom Brokaw.... Then I had to reread what you wrote.
  3. Wow a monthly dinner menu planned? That's amazing. I don't know what I'll be eating today, let alone tomorrow. But you have a family and it's just me or just me and Z half the time. I cook, and not go out to eat, but it's usally decided about 10 minutes before I start. You're my hero on so many levels. Good luck with matching up schedules with DH.
  4. Stacy, If I were there I'd take your ass to the store to get those jeans. I'd jump and scream with you too when they fit, because you know that they will! Go and get yourself some damn clothes! Before you know it, you'll be sliding into 12s.
  5. Funny, I'm not scared of gaining weight back. I just think it will never happen. It just won't. Even as I sit here not moving off the freaking same few numbers on the scale for two weeks I think well, this is as bad as it will get. I won't gain. The band won't let me. Now if I got insane and tried to actively gain, the band couldn't stop me I suppose. But I don't see that happening. But I would be terrified if something happened to my band. I don't think I'd be able to live a normal weight life without it.
  6. BG Do you plan, like write out your food daily before you eat? Or do you just know that you're going to keep it to a certain calorie level for the day?
  7. My addiction to this site is horrible. Not being able to get on nearly killed me.
  8. I'm off to the gym then to have too many drinks with some old friends. TGIF people. XO
  9. pictures pictures pictures we want pictures
  10. Hi. Well sounds like you have a few things. One-like Cyn said, eating real food is going to happen, relax and learn to negotiate around it in a healthy way. If you look at your before banding eating behaviors and you current not perfect behaviors I expect you are still pretty darn good! Two-you have restriction by nature of the band being on your stomach; there's some restriction. Is it enough or do you need a fill? That should be measured by your weight loss. My doc and I had a 10#/month rule. When I got to less than 10# loss in a month I would get my first fill. It took 5 months from surgery to slow down that much. The band has a finite amount of space. I thought I'd use it when I needed it. Three-Concern about overfilling by eating a lot and damaging your pouch? I too talked with my surgeon about this, because I could eat lots. He told me that if I wasn't HURTING, I was fine. You'll be fine.
  11. Try boy shorts. Or whatever they are called. The square legged panties. I had to get new panties when I was running around the house in my old drawers and they kept brushing the back of my legs...I was like, what's that?! Then I looked in the mirror! The horror!
  12. I was brought up to remove my shoes at home. I typically take them off at home...and if I'm at your house for more than an hour I'll ask if I may take them off there. Recently I started the no shoe at home rule just to keep outside germs from getting to the inside. We walk through so much nastiness, I just don't want to have to combat it at home. But that rule applies to me, my daughter and really good friends...and it's a request for the friends not a demand.
  13. Tell DH to step away from the computer!
  14. hi ScareDcat, WELCOME. Dez, no more giant rides from what I can tell. I'm in Ohio and it's rainy and cold most of the time. Too bad. Those big rides helped get the weight off! Looking for something else to keep me busy.
  15. BG, You can do it, you can! 50 pounds in 4 months is do able, a challenge but certainly attainable if you work your butt off! Sounds like you will too!
  16. For the record if you start talking medical stuff with BG or anyone for that matter my eyes will glaze over and my mind will wander. SOOOOOOOOOO not my thing. I've only learned the names of muscles so I can exercise them. Hell, I couldn't even tell what surgies my DD has had. (Ear tube, adnoids, I don't think tonsils....) I leave that stuff for the Ex to handle. We all have our strengths. It'd be boring if we were all the same!
  17. TX I was a tracker...damn near every bight from January to September. But then I began to slip....and slip more. I track my food about 2 days a week now. I kind of knew I'd lose steam around 9 months. I did that 6 years ago with WW. My reason for being banded is that I don't regress, that I stand still, when I need a break from being diligent. Break time needs to end! I'm hoping the BB will give me the reinvigorate me to be diligent again. I kind of got used to losing 10 pounds a month and want to get back to that! This only a pound a week business is for the birds.
  18. Oh my SO will probably want to measure the differences between act A and act B to see which burns more. Got to love engineers!
  19. B Small house = better house. I think. Less to clean, less to heat, less to leave an environmental footprint. And being a girl who cooks, a smaller kitchen is better (if it's big enough and well laid out) than a huge ass kitchen where you have to walk 15 feet to get a something turn around and walk another 10...blah, blah, blah.... I have a tiny house which fits me and my daughter perfectly. I'd be happy with something newer and not falling apart, but I love my little house. 1150 square feet, little!
  20. Cool because I want to log stuff in while at work. It's basically the state's computer but I can put stuff on it, short of porn...or at least I think I can. I have friends in IT who will do Admin password if I bake the cookies...(and explain what I want to download if they deem it safe...we aren't too strict around here.)
  21. AWE.......... How sweet is that???? And Hubba hubba about the uniform. Why do I have visions of the end of "An Officer and a Gentleman" in my head? I can imagine what a treat it would be to have your honey pop in where you work. Very nice... Don't sweat the mess, it's not a deal breaker. The woman loves you.
  22. Isn't it funny that when something is in reach we just want to get it sooner!!!!!!!! HP and her new bike, me and my bodybugg. Other question about the BB, is the software web based or is it software that you download to only one computer?
  23. Just a comment, because I can't seem to leave this freaking site alone........ Do you realize how active this thread is compared to all the other exercise threads? It's freaking insane. I heart us.
  24. I did it. I bit the bullet and bought the bodybugg. I've been listening to Babygirl and Suzzzie go on and on about it on the bicycling thread....Talk about peer pressure. I'M SO FREAKING STOKED. I can't wait to get it. Today after I worked out I ran after my kid on her bike thinking I wish I knew what I was burning.... Question: Do you sleep with it on? Do you have (ahem) sex with it on? Are there just times when tracking your calories burned isn't important? I can't wait to be part of this very elite group of people.
  25. HPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP No you didn't! Yes you DID!!!! You go girl. It whispered your name and you got it! Oh, I'm so happy for you! Good news on the fill too. Were they able to do it without flouro? Or were you poked a million times with it?! Congratulations on the new baby.
