I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time sunny. Go for your fill keep doing what your doing and if nothing after that consult a nutritionist and your surgeon to see what the problems are. Good luck to you. I wish you health and success with this.
  2. I am so excited for you. 200 lbs is amazing. I cannot wait till I reach that point. Way to go girl!!! Keep up the good work.
  3. wishing you health and fast healing. Don't let it get you down , try to stay positive.
  4. well since you are probably on the liquid stage , the only liquid protein that I tolerated was carnation instant breakfast- no sugar added. Other then that I had some problems getting my protein in to. Good luck
  5. congrats it sounds like you are doing great!
  6. :thumbup:Congrats on entering band land.I hope you have a happy and healthy start to your new life.
  7. Congrats!!!! That is amazing , keep up the good work.:bored:
  8. My surgeon said to expect a weight gain right away because off the iv. I stayed overnight so I had a constant iv and my weight jumped a couple of pounds. Don't worry it will be off before you know it.Congrats on entering band land.
  9. Yes for some reason the doc says no straws. The air probably.
  10. congrats on entering band land, and good luck.
  11. I don't really miss the food aspect, but I miss drinking from a straw! It is so irrititating to have to drink out of the cup at a restaurant. I guess I will get over it because losing weight is more important!
  12. way to go thats amazing!!!!! Keep up the great work!:cursing:
  13. I have federal blue cross blue shield as well and my copays for fills are $15. As far as the surgery went it cost me only $38. The insurance approval took about 1 1/2 weeks to get approved but I BOTHERED them every day!
  14. Congrats on entering band land!!! good luck for a happy and healthy future!
  15. Congrats!!! It is great to see someone in their 20's like myself better their life. Good luck and keep us posted!
  16. My doc said this is an absolute no no! It's funny because most people miss breads or pasta, and my biggest thing is drinking out of a straw! I miss the ability to that. I am unsure of why they do not want me to but I am not taking any chances and I am following the doc's orders.
  17. Your story is AMAZING!!!!!!!! congrats on bettering your life and your future!!!!
  18. I have been really licky for not really craving foods, however I would love to drink from a straw. It is driving me crazy!!!!!
  19. It sounds like you do need another fill. It would probably be best to get an appointment asap with the doc, you do not want to have any serious, major problems to deal with. Also not to sound harsh or anything but in the mean time you should try to be strict about the foods you are eating. Pizza is one of the things I know if I endulge in it there is no going back. Try sticking to the high Protein low carb diet the docs want all of is to do, that way you know you are doing your part. Good luck to you.
  20. :thumbup:It sounds like you are doing great!!!keep up the good work!
  21. This is the worst, so just take it day by day. Soon enough you will be banded and things will be moving along. Good luck and congrats on entering the rest of your life!:scared2:
  22. Congrats on the surgery. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself and I would definitely do it again. Good luck and if you need any support, I am here anytime.
  23. I don't even want to try any of that. I have had several instances of foods getting stuck but I am going to do everything to not have things get stuck. Maybe if it is cooked enough there won't be much of a problem. Good luck.
  24. I would just keep bothering them till they get back to you. It's amazing how people can dangle your life right before your face. You have the right to be proactive about your life and health therefore bother the crap out of this person, then if all else fails find another counselor who can see you asap and get the ball rolling. Good luck to you.
  25. I'm not sure about all this but it would definitely be best if you called your surgeon. They tell you if you are uncomfortable then it is best if you call right away. You do not want to injure yourself or cause problems with your band . I hope you feel better.
