  1. Hi, Great job on the preop diet. Getting my band was the best thing I ever did for myself, it's giving me my life back. Good luck to you.
  2. I think it is great that you are so supporting of your wife. If I can answer any questions just let me know. Good luck to you and your wife.
  3. It seems like you are taking responsibility and are choosing to have the right attitude about everything. Keep up the good work. Good luck to you.
  4. I was wondering for those of you who have had fills before how long it took you till you felt a good deal of restriction.
  5. hey mag!!!!!!!! I'm so excited for you. The doc made me do a pre op diet but only because my bmi was really high. He just wants to see that you can follow the rules after the surgery. I feel great and soon enough you will too. Good luck hun, let me know how you are.:thumbup::w00t:
  6. I too have problems with the eating and drinking thing. I want to drink so bad when I am eating, it is driving me nuts. I try to not have anything to drink around me when I am eating. That seems to help a lot. I do however keep water or crystal light with me at all times.
  7. make sure you are drinking enough water. If you are fully hydrated it helps you feel full faster. Next time you feel like snacking have a glass of water. That always helps me. I hope things get better.
  8. congrats and good luck on your journey.
  9. did the doc give you any diet guidelines, are you getting enough protein? Are you drinking enough water. Have you contacted a nutritionist , perhaps they can help you jump start the weight loss. It stinks it's different for everyone so there are no pin points of what the problem is. Talk to your doctor, make sure your journaling what you eat, and make sure you make an attempt at the exercise. If your not losing after that then you definitely need to find out whats wrong.
  10. I too did not feel that much restriction after my first fill. I scheduled my second for 2/4/09. I am hoping that will do the trick. I have a 14cc band and my first fill was of 4cc. I hope everything goes better for you after your next fill.
  11. I have had problems for years with bras. I can't just go into any store and find one that works with me. I usually get them from Lane Bryant, as they seem to be the only place near me where I can find what I am looking for. My question is does anyone have any ideas where I can find a good bra with good support. My bra size is 48-50 DDD. Thanks for any advice.
  12. I think he did an excellent job. It was a wonderful moment in history, one that I will remember. He is well educated and articulate and seems to be for change and responsibility. Hopefully these are times of change and acceptance.
  13. If i am going to weigh myself I do it in the same place every time, that way I know there should not be a difference. However weighing on a carpet will give you a different result then a hard wood floor.
  14. I'm not sure they gave me this date over the phone. I will check the website though.
  15. my top 3 problem areas are; 1.BELLY 2.arms 3. butt
  16. I hear you on that!!! I feel as if I am obsessed some days. I try really hard to keep it to once in the morning but it seems to be something I obsess on.
  17. it sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the great work!!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  18. I would say that it could be caused by the TOM but I think you also need to make sure that you are eating enough calories so that your body gets the nutrients it needs. Any changes recently in the way you have been eating?
  19. glad to hear your doing well twiggy. Congrats on entering band land!!!
  20. I'm so happy for you. This is an exciting time...enjoy it, for you earned it.
  21. I had a good one tonight. This last summer (08) I had to order a bathing suit online because I could not find one in the store. It was a bit snug in the summer. I put it on tonight to go swimming at the gym and it was SOOOO big on my. I had to tie the straps together just so the top wouldn't fall down. It felt great to know that this year I will be buying a suit in the store. Glad to hear there are so many others out there who are experiencing these wonderful moments.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
  22. congrats on your date!!!!Exciting!!!
  23. :thumbup:clicking between that and biggest loser. American idol doesn't get good until there are like 12 people left. Thats when you really get to hear how good or bad they are. Have a great night.
  24. I would call around and see if you can find any obgyn docs who have experience with bandsters. Not necessarily to deliver your baby but to see if there is anything extra you can do. Other then that I hope everything goes well, and you and your baby are healthy:thumbup:
  25. Amen to that...
