I have been really licky for not really craving foods, however I would love to drink from a straw. It is driving me crazy!!!!!

Its been almost 2 1/2 years since ive had a whopper and i still get cravings for them also. Fortunately for me burgers and fries do not sit well with my band. Two or three bites and im in extreme pain so its not even worth wasting the money on ording it.

I do not miss fast food so much but I do miss the convenience of ordering a pizza on nights that I don't want to cook. I miss Subway... I don't want the wraps--when I go in there and smell the bread that is what I want and so I just don't go. That bread, even whole wheat would just take too much work.

In general I miss bread and especially Pasta from time to time but being insulin resistant, it is best that I avoid these things while trying to lose weight. But none of these things have been a huge issue, I see a fast food commercial or drive by a place and think "that would be good about right now" then I remind myself that it isn't worth it and I move on.

Since banding I do get intense cravings for fish which is new for me and a good change from my prior habits.

I have found that not allowing myself to fantasize about food has had a very strong impact on my rate of loss. I highly recommend finding ways to interrupt the "craving" thought process. It helps!

I find I am craving healthy foods that I never craved prior to banding. I want fish, or salad, or a bit of quacamole. My tastes have definitely changed . . . for the better.

I crave carbs! I always crave breads, pastas, potatoes. Anything apparently that's full of carbs I want. :cursing: I miss those foods. I think I miss the feel of them in my mouth even. Is that weird?

I'm craving a chicken caesar salad w/o croutons and also regular chicken salad

I eat normally, but some foods are a LOT of work, and others I only get about three bites, so I don't crave a lot of food. I don't HAVE to do without on most everything, but choose not to. I eat limited carbs. But I can't do carbonation any more, so I do crave a frosty beer now and then.

I was craving a Dr Pepper the other day....Which is weird b/c I never really drank soda.

But mostly I crave tacos or a nice piece of fresh italian bread.

And salad-- I cannot get enough with red wine vinegar italian dressing. Fortunately I acutally can eat fresh lettuce so I have salad at least once a day with home-made dressing--more vinegar than oil. In fact-- Lately I want red wine vinegar on everything... veggies, meat...

I forgot-- A Corona with lime. It was killing me.... It was 80 degrees last weekend and all I wanted to do is have a Corona at the beach.

Then I got on the scale and I had lost a pound. Way better feeling.
