Hi Amanda First I have heard of this as well. I have crohn's disease and was told RNY was absolutely out, but that I could go ahead with the band no problem. I am 9 months out and no issues as of yet. In fact, my crohn's is 100% better. Continue to check out for your own piece of mind, but I really don't think that is the case. Good luck !

I have always wondered this myself ! I am curious as to what the answer will be ! Of course, if someone is self pay, it doesn't really matter what their weight/BMI is, I am assuming.

Ok so I broke down and bought myself some Hoodia at GNC today for $39.00. I took a pill at 11am, and by 2pm I had eaten half a box of Cheezits. Gee, I hope it works a little better than this !!! I will let you all know how tomorrow goes.......

gee I hope so !!!!! I have lost 85 pounds in 8 1/2 months, and hope to hit 100 before my anniversary on May 23rd. There are alot of bandsters here who have done well with their band, and you will be too. :clap2:

Great plan !! Such a good motivator. I was actually looking at pictures last week, and I have NOTHING taken of me over the last 12 years. It's like my kids didn't have a mother, or that I never took any vacation with my family ( I was always the one behind the lens). Maybe I will post pics of my wedding day (my thinnest) all around my house and strive for that ! Good Luck La Madam-let me know how it works.
