Hi all Just came back from GNC. They sell Hoodia for $35.00 for 60 pills. You can either take 2/day for a month's supply, or 3/day for a 20day supply. I was so tempted to buy it to curb my hunger. I just think that is an awful lot of money ! I wish I heard from more people who have tried it and were satisfied. If I go ahead and buy it, will let you all know how it goes.

Kel- I am soooooooooo jealous !!! My dream is to get rid of this sagging apron of skin I have due to 3 c-sections, 3 hernia surgeries and rapid weight loss. There is nothing more I want than to wear a normal pair of undies and not these tight tight tight control top panties to keep my belly from swinging ( I know, not pretty). Here's how I look at things- I was fortunate enought to have insurance cover my band surgery. If I have to refinance my home to be NORMAL again, then I am so there. I am going to my doc Feb 14 to get a referral to a plastic surgeon. Hopefully, I can get a consult from there. Please keep us updated on how things are going. I am interested in how things go for you and hopefully can join you someday ! Congrats on this next big step !

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem. I had an MRI about 4 months after surgery-no problem at all. Good luck

Hi All ! Why haven't I seen this posting before???? I'm from MA and so happy to hear from others in the area. I admit, I get a little jealous when I hear about the other bandsters around the US getting together, having chats, etc. Now we finally have our own !!! Anyway........ I was banded May 23, and have been pretty successful with my band. I have had very little difficulty and would recommend this procedure to anyone who is thinking about WLS. I am helping my 70 year old Dad go through the process and hopefully he will have his surgery in March of this year. I hope the surgery/healing/losing are as smooth sailing as I have had it. Hi Dana, Welcome to LBT ! You are in great hands here. I don't think anyone of us need to convince you to have the surgery- I think you have already made that decision ! And believe me, it will be the best decision of your life. I had surgery almost 8 months ago. I am so much healthier, happier and would not change a thing. Have I had problems? Minimal. Would do it again-in a heartbeat !!! I have nothing but positive things to say, so I guess I can't answer any of your questions concerning the "downside" of the surgery. Good Luck~ :clap2: Leah

I had real bad acid reflux over the past month. Finally, I decided not to be so stubborn and went in for what was supposed to be a slight unfill. It made all the difference in the world. Good Luck...
