  2. Jessica, Good Luck with your weight loss journey. We are all here to support you. Ask us anything and everything. You are a brave and very smart girl. I think you will do just fine once you do have this surgery. And congratulations on your decision !

You are doing great and seem to be following all the rules. You are over 3 months out and should be able to eat all the foods you are not tolerating. I wouldn't suggest getting another fill right now if all you can eat is mushies. Just my opinion. I just think you are tight enough right now...
  5. really, no secret at all. I try to eat only healthy/diet type foods first (yogurts/cottage cheese/chicken/fish, etc), and very rarely will have room for anything else. I drink a TON of water, so that helps. I can't say I am a big fan of exercise, so that's out. I am also pretty aggessive about getting fills. I think I have had a total of 7 so far (2.6 cc in a 4cc band). I just know I need more fill when I find it takes alot more to get me full !!! I think this last may just be it for a while. Thanks again for evryones kind words

Ok, I think I got it. Should I expect temps to be about 65-70 or is that asking too much???
  7. Thanks guys !!!! I know it sounds silly, but all I wanted was to weigh less than my husband. It's been a dream of mine for the past 12 years. And even if I never made it to the 100 pound mark, I would still be proud of my accomplishments!
  8. When I started my weight loss journey back in May, I set up four mini goals to meet prior to my BIG FINALE-100 pounds lost. Well, I just hit my last mini goal: 1) loose 50 pounds- accomplished Sept 2) get below 200-accomplished Oct 3) weigh less than my husband (184)-accomplished Nov 4) lose 75 pounds- accomplished TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!! And what's even better....I know I will keep it off forever !!! Even if I never make it to the 100 pound mark, I know I am so much healtheir and happier with where I am. What a great Christmas present I just gave myself, and boy does it feel gooooooooooooooood. Thanks guys for helping me along the way

Does anyone know what the weather is in Florida (specifically Orlando) right now? We are leaving next Thursday (Dec 8) and I have no idea what to pack for the family. shorts? capris? tshirts? jackets? ahhhhhhhhhhh I HATE to pack !!
  11. Now you must post a pic of your self in your new blazer and pants !! yahoo.........
  12. Go Daddy ! Go Daddy ! You The Man !
  13. Welcome home ! You will always be the # 1 bandster in my eyes, so keep up the good work. You truly are such an inspiration to all of us. REST REST REST and get better real soon !
  14. Jonathan, That is wonderful, awesome, spectacular, and possibly the best news I could have heard. The kind of news we all needed !!! You did what you had to do and it paid off. Good for you ! Leah
  15. I regretted getting my band ONCE and only ONCE. I had a nasty UTI and needed to take an antibiotic. The pill was huge and no matter how many times I cut it up, it wouldn't go down. I had to crush it and put in applesauce. NASTY. Other than that time, I have NEVER regretted getting a band. I do not miss food in the least. I eat what I want when I am hungry, just in much smaller amounts. This was a good question to get us all thinking.....
  16. Oh Lisa, I'm so sorry. I'm sitting here crying for you, Kitty and Chris. Animals are absolute angels. I can tell how happy he made you for the past 15 years. Take care, Leah

Doll, you took a major step in your and your son's life. Be proud of what you are doing for the two of you. I can only imagine what happened last night that gave you the gumption to get up and get out !!! You are lucky to have your mom by your side, in addition to all of your friends here at LBT. Good luck. We are all here to listen
  18. Ok ladies, today I called my doc and made an appt to see her tomorrow. I can eat way more than I should be able to at 2.4cc. I'm convinced I have a slip....I also am getting that acid reflux/choking on my vomit at night, back again. I couldn't ait until 9am this morning until the office opened up. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, are we all just crazy? paranoid? guilty? What is going on with us? Do we have sympathy pains for our LBT friends who went into surgery today? I'm just glad to hear I am not the only one who is CONVINCED something just has to be wrong. please let us know how each one of us make out at our various appointments
  19. Ladies, Good Luck/Good Healing/Best Wishes. All of us bandsters will be thinking of you guys. <hugs> Leah
  20. Congratulations !!! Doesn't that first 50 feel great ????
  21. Kimber-lilly, I LOVE your cat !!!!! He looks awesome.
  22. I LOVED reading everyone's responses. They are so personal, humble, and honest. Whipple Daddy, I couldn't have said it better.........if you don't think I am happy, just try to take it away !!!!! I was 6 months post op yesterday. I am down 72 pounds. Weight I know I will NEVER gain back. If I never lost another pound, I would still be thrilled with my progress. With any adventure in life, there are hills and valleys. You get through the bad and sail with the good. I can say it's all been good....... I am now onto the next phase of this journey, and that is supporting my 70 year old Dad through this process. Would I recommend the surgery to him if I thought the risks outweighed the benefits??? NO WAY ! So you see, there are many Happy Bandsters out there. And I am just one of many.
  23. Happy Happy Day !!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your day !
  24. Ror all those cat lovers, here's our kitty named J.P. The pope had just died the day we got him, so my daughter named him John Paul out of respect. What was I going to do?
