  1. Awesome! We have similar stats! I had surgery in 11/19 but had same hw as you I have only lost about 14-15 pounds since surgery but 56 pounds total.
  2. Good luck! I hope you do very well!

  5. You know the drill, are you getting your protein? your fluids? your exercise? if so keep at it. if not go for it. You will lose again!
  6. I bet that is really hard, losing a loved is never easy to over come. WHat are you eating now? What do you like that you know is good high protein ? Let's make a shopping list!

  8. Are you on a liquid diet? Can you work out something with your ntutritionist since you have no definite date?
  9. right there with ya! No coffee here because decaf and skim with splenda is so fake and gross I don't even try to fool myself!
  10. Not sure what to say to your question yet but Iam thinking about it. Muscle building , maybe some resistance bands they are not expensive , easier than weights and a good starting point. maybe you need more strength training type stuff right and less cardio focus just for now. but I am definitely no expert.
  11. Good luck I hope all goes well for you!
  12. Awesome you must be so excited! I am so proud of you!
  13. Have you tried crystal light in your Water? Or G2 ? Powerade zero? Anything sugarfree that will help you get some Fluid in. Also try warm or cold to see if one temperature is more tolerable. I had a really hard time at first too! I almost had to go back to the hospital for fuids . Try decaf tea, broth diluted juice what ever it takes . You can do it. I was miserable for the first week then it slowly got better.
  14. The protein shakes still produced solid stool for me too the whole way through. they were softer twoards the end but still solid.
  15. It sounds like the stomach spasms that I have, Did your doctor give you any medcine for that? Like levsin or bentyl? It works wonders. I am four weeks out and I still have the spasms you are talking about.
  16. HW 282 SW 239(post op weight 241) CW 227 GW 135 I stalled for two weeks then lost 5 more pounds this past week!
  17. I lost 14 pounds in the first month. I am happy with that. Our bodies are adjusting to so much. We have to be patient and consistent!
  18. Maybe the cut , brand, style, fabric. Could be anything! Go to the thrift store and really shop around for something with a small price tag that works for you.

  20. I would get pads. It will not effect you r surgery though!
  21. I am nearly a month out. I feel pretty good. I would say I am about 90% back to normal. I am still really tired sometimes and have to sleep more than normal. I am still a little more tender in the middle than normal. My worst issue is nausea, and of course you will not be able to hide your small portions and pureed or soft foods at 1 month.
  22. Okay, I am going balls out here. halfway through my pre-op diet I went to Mcdonalds bought a chipotle chicken wrap drove to the grocery store, hid in my car and the whole dam thing!
  23. My bougie size is 34 I don't think that size is too small or restrictive. I am almost 4 weeks post op and I can eat about 2 oz of more dense food like chicken and 4 -6 oz of soup in 30 or 40 minutes.
  24. You had the same starting weight as me! You are doing awesome! Congratualtions.
