  1. How very sad. I am watching it now. As I am exercising between teaching my online English classes. Ahe says she is ready but she threw it away. That poor little boy!
  2. I had my first appointment on June 26th my surgery could have been mid October but I choose to wait to mid November. I had lots of tests and appointments to keep me busy in between.
  3. Do you mean a 4-5 ounce restriction? Have you tried Hormel turkey chili with beans? ( grams of of protin in 4-5 ounces of it.That is one of my favorites.
  4. I like muscle milk. It is easy to find. I can get it at wal mart . The price is pretty reasonable about $6 for 4 11 ounce shakes. 20 grams of protein in each one.
  5. I keep getting stuck too. So sick of it! I don't know what to say except you are not alone!
  6. I thought it would be easier than it is. I am 2 months post op. I am eating about 900 calories a day exercising a lot . I am meeting my protein and liquid goals but I WANT carbs so bad ALL THE TIME! I hate fighting these cravings. I want bread potatoes, noodles, rice, chips and pretzels and everything I do not need. It drives me mad everyday.I don't know what to do about this issue! I am going crazy. I want all the things I should not eat. I am not the only person in my house so I cannot empty all of it out here.
  7. I would not have been able to go home that day. Are you having a leak test? What does your post op diet plan look like?

  11. Water are crystal light are my staples, I am 8 weeks out now and I drink skim milk at least 16 ounces a day it boosts my protein. G2 and powerade occasionally but they are more expensive than the crystal light.
  12. no one else is on a gall stone prevention medicine?
  13. Okay I am going to be really frank with you, the first week was so awful! The second week was a little better , the third week I really started to feel like myself again. Most people don't have a nausea issue after the first few weeks. I still do though and I am 8 weeks out.
  14. Do you have any idea how many calories you are taking in?
  15. Are you using myfitnesspal? A site like that would help you see if you are getting enough protein. Did your doctor set a protein goal for you? How much water are you drinking? What kind of exercise do you do? How often?
  16. My son is having a hard time. He is 8 . While he is glad that I can do more things with him, he misses his "soft pillow mommy" . When he sees old pictures he gets really sad. Sometimes he says he does not want me to lose all of my softness and that he is scared about that. He says maybe I will look and feel to different. Does anyone have a child who is grieving the loss of their "old FAT mommy".
  17. I was just started on this medication by my surgeon at 8 weeks post op. I am wondering who else is taking this drug and what your experience with it has been. So far I am finding that it tastes better in applesauce than yogurt but it is very bitter and seems to upset my stomach no matter what.
  18. In the center I go to, some people do a four week pre op diet, and some do a two week. The diet length is determined by the surgeon. Our pre op diets consist of 4 new directions protein shakes or bars. No other food at all. Only non caloric, non caffeinated, non carbonated, beverages are allowed. It is basically 800 calories a day.
  19. I had the gastric sleeve. I was not allowed anything at all by mouth until the next day after my leak test, upper gi X-ray. Then I was allowed fluids.
