  1. I had surgery 11/19/13 I am 42 and 5'4. I started at hw282 in July. I lost 30 pounds before my preop diet, 13 pounds on the diet, I have lost 36 pounds since surgery sw 239 cw 203. Our stats are very similar. I have not had any noticeable hair loss yet. I am working out like crazy that is our one big difference. I am in the gym 3-4 days a week for 1-2 hours. I would be there more but life intervenes. I am averaging 900-1000 calories but working most of them off in the gym. I was in a 22-24 and in a 16 probably would fit a 14 now . No fatigue issues here but I do sleep than I probably ever have.
  2. If you are throwing up everything you need to call your doc. Do you have nausea meds? do you have stomach spasm meds?
  3. My thoughts are with you~ I don't know about Mexico but I wanted you to know that another mom is listening to your plight!
  4. I am three months out. I am really noticing the sag in my breasts and belly. I have lost 78 pounds since I started this journey last July. I still have a long way to go but I want to know what the plastic surgeon will be able to do for me and what I have left to do on my own. I am sure it will be a least another year before I do any surgery. I am just looking for information from the doctor now. My appointment is tomorrow.
  5. Yep I see it too! What have you been doing to lose your weight?
  6. No mine did not. You have to tough it out. I had a tough time during the liquid diet. I will not sugar coat it for you. I lost 13 pounds though in the 2 weeks so the results were good.
  7. You don't have to say if you don't want to but are you having accidents? This is a problem that I have due to a previous stroke and multiple pelvic surgery. I have never heard of of it after vsg though.
  8. No one else has seen this site? Gwynniebee.com
  9. This site looks so cool. I really want to try it but I am a s little nervous.
  10. I could swallow my pills broken in half at about 4 weeks. Some pills are still too big, I have to break them in half ( my calcium) before I swallow them. I have one capsule that is huge so I have sprinkle it in applesauce. My regular pills seizure, migraine, bladder stuff and prilosec I can swallow normally now at 3 months out.
  11. I cannot see your picture, I think your attachment did not work.
  12. I am like RJ I have to eat or i wake up starving!
  13. I am really hoping for that at he end especially for my really sad boobies!
  14. That must be so frustrating! Any chance you will be able to have plastics?
  15. I will try it tonight i have all the stuff I need to do it here now!
  16. My cycle has been unpredictable post op too but I am only 3 months out so I am not too worried right now.
  17. I was really nervous too! It not as difficult as I thought. Hang in there!
  18. I had surgery almost three months ago. I still get hungry often but I am full with much less than before. I have lost 32 pounds since surgery 11/19/13. I have lost 75 pounds overall.
  19. Are you vomiting? Sick after eating? Do you still have you gallbladder?
  20. Are you sleeping a lot during the day ? I know I did early post op!
  21. What is a medgen and how do you do it?
  22. I was supposed to wait two weeks. But I didn't. I am a bather! I had to do it.
  23. I will be honest I feel exactly like what the counselor said. I thought I would be so happy to get to solids and it was such a let down. I feel like cooking is such a waste. I can't enjoy eating just a few bites it fills my stomach but it is not satisfying otherwise. I am still trying to adjust to a new normal 3 months out.
  24. I started at 282 back in July. may main exercise then was walking. I worked up to walking about 3 miles a day over the summer/fall. I lost 43 pounds before my surgery in November. Now, I can't walk outside because of the weather so I am going to the Y also. I walk a few miles on the treadmill 30- 3.5 miles per hour 30 or 40 minutes, then I ride the stationary bike for about 30 minutes. I usually burn about 1000 calories or more doing that. I also do some strength training /lifting reps on the nautilus machines but I am not sure how to count the calories burnt by those yet. I work out 4-5 days a week. I am still afraid fo the eliptical machine I feel so awkward on there!
