Ahh, dang it! ( Need and answer to a girl question)

Warning: the following post has TMI

So, surgery is on Friday (!!!!!!!) with Dr Ortiz, and we are flying out in two days. But, wouldn't you know it, I started my period today. I'm very irregular and have no idea when it's ever gonna hit, and of course it comes today.

So my periods go like this: so my heavy days are always days 3 and 4, which means surgery day. Anyone else have this issue? What do they do? I usually use tampons, but can I do that? Do I need to go buy pads?

This seriously blows.

I would get pads. It will not effect you r surgery though!

Don't do a tampon during the actual surgery unless your surgeon ok's it. :)

Hey coopspa!

I'm not sure which Dr Ortiz you are going to but if it is Dr Ariel Ortiz, you will be given a funky outfit to wear just before surgery. This includes pressure stockings, hair cover, gown and....paper underwear. Mine ripped when I sat down lol. So u might want to bring both (pads and tampons) and just ask one of the nurses which is best. I also slept for several hours after surgery so you might be more comfortable with a tampon? Just my $.02 :)

Tampons should be fine it all cases BUT just remember some ladies have a difficult time bending over. I didn't but it does happen

Just let your nurse of doctor know if you have a tampon in. Please! Lol
