*So Anxious* Need support and advice! :-)
I know how you feel! I only have one more Nutritionist visit after Monday and then whatever pre-op things my doc wants. My mind keeps jumping from: What if I go through this, put all my hopes and dreams into this surgery and my insurance does not approve it?!? What if I get the surgery and I don't get the results I need? Can I do a liquid diet? etc, etc, etc. OH and my favorite, what if my insurance stops covering the sleeve and I have to go with something else? It's nerves, I am doing what my insurance requires. They are not going to change... (I pray!) and it will all work out in the end, but seriously; where is all the courage I started off with?

Help building a WARNING - Worst Slider Foods List
My Nutritionist wants me to have mainly cheese as my source of protein since I'm a vegetarian. As she was talking, I was picturing my cholesterol sky rocket. My doc does not want me to drink protein drinks. (Frown) Then I get here and learn that I may not feel full if I eat cheese? After my surgery, I may not tell my doc about protein drinks, and let my Nutritionist THINK I am living on cheese, and cheese alone. LOL

Afraid to eat
Ugh, I have GERD; hate it. I find that sometimes the basics work the best, have you tried TUMS? Probably a stupid question I know, but I figured I would throw it out there, just in case.

Sports and Working Out
I am told, barring complications; 4 weeks as well. But every doc is different, so ask him/her.

I am hungry ! Please talk me off the ledge!
Whatever you do don't turn on the TV, every other commercial is about food and by the time your show comes back on, your hungry for single food item they advertised. One night I found myself hungry for pizza, chocolate and Chinese all at once. My friend made me take a pregnancy test.

Stop thinking about food! Read a good book, one where no one eats.

Words of advice for exercising sleevers!
Very good to know!! I will remember that! Up your Water intake too if you can. Don't weight yourself daily, try weekly. Also don't just go by what the scale says. Measure your self too. Working out creates muscle, and muscle is heavy. I bet you're loosing inches though. Good luck!

I am hungry ! Please talk me off the ledge!
Get out of the house! You need to be away from the sight and smells of food. Find something to do that will keep your mind off being hungry. Focus on weight loss. You are where you are for a reason. Think about where you want to be and how to get there. Grab a magazine filled with skinny people and think about how they stay that way. Umm, that's all I got right now. Talk to me if you need to!! Do anything but eat that food. It will hurt you in more ways then one.

Question about no lifting after surgery
I'll have to get a doc note for work. My entire job is lifting, pulling and pushing. Maybe I can transfer to less straining debt for a short while.

8 days post sleeve
I was told at least 80g of protein a day. I thought at first you had only have clear liquids? Are pudding and the breakfast shakes aloud?

Caffeine, Sugar, and Carbs
That all makes sense then. Keep away from I guess dense carbs? Because they expand and thereby will expand your stomach. And in the beginning while your stomach is healing, it could become dangerous. Sugar, is addictive, high in calories, it will keep you wanting more. Caffeine, is a stimulant that keeps you from feeling full. Did I get that right? If you have more info, I would love to hear it. Thank you for all the comments so far.

Caffeine, Sugar, and Carbs
Since I begin researching weight loss surgery, one of the number one thing's I have seen is post op caffeine, sugar, and carbs are a big no no. My question is why other than it's good weight loss technique. Carbs I can understand a lot of them, I'm told; I won't be able to handle any more. But is caffeine and sugar just for the diet, or is there an explanation regarding our new stomachs, for those as well?

YMCA
I love to swim laps as well. I warm up with a 500 meter then I start timing myself so that I really get my heart rate up for awhile. Love it. I have several different sized weights at home so I use them while watching TV and not feel like I am being stared at. Maybe when I am smaller, I won't mind so much.
