Afraid to eat

I'm suffering from acid reflux everything I think is over to eat is upsetting my stomach. The doctor has me on a couple of different medicines never experienced this before surgery it sucks any advice ????

have you tried liquid carafate? prescription.....kinda coats the GI tract and what about a proton pump inhibitor? Protonix is really good. when was your last upper GI with a barium study? just thinking out loud. i hope you feel better!

My ins dropped two months after surgery it been almost a year prostatic I'm on not sure about the other an on for Prilosec nothing is helping I'm in so much pain it went from y chest hurting to stomach feeling like it wil explode

i wish i could give you the carafate. i have so much of it. you are without insurance? follow guidelines for GERD...make sure reputable site..national institute of health, etc. long term reflux can cause problem down the road......can you get into a clinic that does sliding scale payment? not sure where you live.....you gotta find medical care!!! please keep posting......

Ugh, I have GERD; hate it. I find that sometimes the basics work the best, have you tried TUMS? Probably a stupid question I know, but I figured I would throw it out there, just in case.

Thanks you all no I haven't tried Tums an I was at work suffering. I do have carafate I'm taking it an it gives me no relief I think I going to go bk to just my protein for a while I'm ins at this job kicks in next month on the 7th so I will have an appt then
