  1. I just wanted to post the link, lol. Not the video!
  2. Well I've done my first dietitian and only Psych visit. My second dietitian visit is the day BEFORE my first visit with my surgeon. I called to make my appointment with him back in Jan, but he is so booked that I could not get in until March 20th!! So I got permission to do as much of the insurance pre-op stuff as I could, done in the meantime. The Dietitian was easy. Went in, got weighed then we talked about what was going to happen. I made a video blog about it but wasn't planning on making it public until next week. If you would like to see it I can go ahead and make it public now. The Phych was a little rougher but not hard. I talked about my decision, and she made sure I knew what I was getting in to. Then I was handed two books of questions I had to feel out. THAT video blog is public if you want to see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vm3fe9R3gk
  3. Sounds exactly like jealousy to me. They will get used to the idea, then once all the weight is off and stays off; they will start thinking about doing it themselves.
  4. I'm hoping my doc does the leak test while I'm still under. How did yours go?
  5. I agree! Make sure the people you tell KNOW that you're not telling everyone. And a doc supervised, low carb, high protein diet is NOT a lie. Your just leaving out the most important tool! LOL
  6. You can!! You're almost there!!
  7. Feel better soon, and let us know how it goes!
  8. LOL, this is so disturbing. I love it!

  10. Blog Post 2: The bariatric psychological visit for my Gastric Sleeve. Or what I remember of it. http://youtu.be/-vm3fe9R3gk
  11. That's something I have thought a lot about. I'll probably have to get my doctor to give me a note to go on lite duty or something. I work full time in a deli and cafe. I have to bend, pull, lift 5-50lbs, and push for 9 hours. It's against health regulations to have food or drinks back there so I will only be aloud to drink something every two hours with a longer drag towards the end of my shift. Then there is the cafe, where you have to lean on your stomach to push half your body through a small window to get the food the customers want. Umm, will probably take pain meds before my shift starts when I get to that point.
  12. Unless you surgery is first thing in the morning, you should be fine. Keep us updated!
  13. Your getting SO close! Good luck ya'll!
  14. No luck needed. You'll do great! Keep us updated.
  15. I did a juice fast once, and all I remember was wanting to CHEW on something! LOL! Good luck!
  16. That's what I thought. Thank you for the info!
  17. Isn't 32 a standard bougie size? I honestly can't remember, it's been a long time since I read up on that.
  18. I want a Whoosh, too! LOL
  19. No prep diet for me as well. I will find out my surgery date March 20th. I have started my pre-op insurance pre-reqs already. Seen the counselor, had my first dietitian visit and my next two scheduled. Will find out when I can see my PCP later today. Then it's on to whatever tests they want me to go to.
  20. You will do fine. Is a gastroscopy like a endoscopy? Bougie size is on my question list too.
