Any Houston Support Groups?
It seems that most surgeons or hospitals that do WLS has free support groups you can go to once or twice a month. I know Houston Northwest Medical Center on 1960 has them once a month.

What Should I Ask My Surgeon?
I'm sure I can find this topic if I look long enough through old posts, but I would like some fresh perspectives. What are you going to ask? What did you ask? Or what do you WISH you had asked? Thanks for all the advice!

No whole pills... chewables only?
That's a relief, I can go a few days without taking my iron, then just start taking my pills again. Was not looking forward to spending all that money on chew-able iron.

IRON....
I need around 80mg of iron a day in order to keep normal levels. I'm glad to hear that there are chew-able iron supplements out there! I will just have to chew a bunch of them, lol.

Chew-able Vitamins WITH IRON
So I'm told that I will need to take chew-able vitamins after the surgery. For me, they will need to also be vegetarian AND have iron in them. I have to take A LOT of iron everyday to keep my iron count at a good level. So is there a chew-able or liquid iron supplement I can take as well at the multi? Ideas?
