  1. I just discovered canned baked beans today. I now eat beans for breakfast because it is high in protien and goes down easy. Bush's baked beans is the best.
  2. Take your time and give yourself time to heal. Also remember that exercise is not always done on the threadmill or in the gym. Chasing after the kids, cleaning the house, cooking, vacuming, cleaning the kitchen, making the beds, walking up and down the stairs, walking the dog, etc is also exercise.
  3. Yeah, good for you!!!!!!!. I know how you feel because I brought a size 7 jeans for motivation 30 days ago and they fit this morning. Enjoy your vacation.
  4. If it works please tell me beause I am skeptical. I think that only lots of quads and hamstring exercises will tone up those lumps. Recommend a good lowerbody program like lunges, squats, and classes like step aerobics and cycling to work those legs. I wish you luck but please let me know if the rolling pin and massage machine works for you...
  5. Enerfina, I like your post..u tell him.
  6. A lot of people think that way, we are the minority in the weight loss community.
  7. That I had to make time to eat because the hunger for food is just not there. Sometimes I just don't want to eat but have to eat for the nutrition not enjoyment.
  8. Depending on your finance situation you should consider self-paying. Lots of people on this forum go to Mexico to get it done most of the surgeons I read about are popular. Some also get the procedure financed and pay it off monthly. Some choose to self pay because they just don't want to bother with the insurance hoops, making people wait 9 months, 2 years for the procedure, etc. I hope you don't give up because this surgery is a life changeing experience and worth every dime you will pay, if that is the way forward for you. Good luck to you.
  9. Good for you "smoking hot" mama.
  10. Refried beans on scrambeled eggs, eggs with shreaded cheese, sometimes I eat baked beans with a side of scrambeled eggs. I may make a big pot of chili and eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner some days.
  11. This is a hot topic here search around. I experienced it at around 3 months and it's not anything I worry about. I rather look hot with a wig or weave than be fat and unhealthy with a full head of lovely hair.
  12. Patrick, I commend you for taking the first step. I wish you luck in your quest to get healthy.
  13. Honestly, at one month I was not thinking about solid food and at 4 months, I still hate solid meat. I was sticking to the pre-op diet because hard solid foods did not feel good going down. I also wanted to lose the maximum weight possible so I sticked with soups and lots of protien shakes. I also made sure to exercise for at least one hour per day starting at my 2 week mark. I would recommend to get back to the basics and stay away from the solids for a while if you want to lose more. And don' t forget to crank up the intensity level while working out, you should be breathless and dripping with sweat.
  14. a BIG 10, I went from 250 to 185 in 4 months, look at me I am fabulous. My sexy is back and my hubby loves it.......
  15. "Bigguy" I like your approach, Dr. Phil like....
  16. Good for you, I wish you luck and can't wait to follow you as you come over to the loser's bench and ONEDERLAND!!!!
  17. Family comes first always!!!! You can always reschedule so take the time to morn your brother and focus on yourself another day. Sorry for your loss, I sympathize with you and your family during this difficult time.
  18. I had mine on 23 Jan and have lost 60 lbs to date. I work out 60-90 min per day, 6 days per week and I am happy with my wt loss. I recommend to hide your scale and take it our once per week to weigh yourself. Sometimes we get addicted to seeing a loss when we get on the scale. We will all experience stalls because our body is adjusting to the weight loss and hate to lose weight. Stalls are good and as long as you are not gaining you are doing great. Good luck to you.

    Well said....
  20. UMMMM, personally I would find another doctor or self pay, I would not do a GB if it was free or if they were giving it away. Only the GS for me, I have read too much negative info about rerouting your plumbing and the malabsorbtion issue.
  21. Oh my, I also have issues with food, it is hard to break up with him.
  22. Welcome to the forum, there is a wealth of information here and people willing to share their experience.
  23. He sounds like a "Hater" to me. If he was a true friend and not a selfish someone he would be a little more sensitive to your feelings. I only hang around positive people so if this happened to me, I would address it and move on if the behavior dosen't change.
  24. Add one banana, some strawberries or kiwi. Frozen berries/peaches are also good to change up the flavor.
