  1. Bread, eggs, rice and crackers are hard for a lot of people. Try to stick with protein like meat. Usually you will loosen up a bit and then you can try some of the things that won't work for you now.
  2. I've never had any problems during a fill, my doctor is done before I know what happens! Hopefully your next one will be better!
  3. Until you have fills, you are wide open, so you will be able to eat more food. Once you start getting fills, you start noticing a difference.
  4. I'm sorry I guess I didn't see your post, I do try to respond to all the new people. My advise to you is just keep posting and pretty soon everyone will know you and you'll have lots of friends!
  5. If you just keep sipping though out the day, you'll be fine. After some of the swelling goes away, you can drink lots more. I keep something with me to drink all the time.
  6. We even get them at work sometimes! I am on the do not call list, and when I get one I tell them I am on that list and they already know that they can get fined so they hang up right away! It has really cut down on the calls for me! Now, if I could only get rid of the calls that are for someone else I never heard of!
  7. Sorry the band didn't work for you. Good luck with the surgery!
  8. Welcome to LBT! Prices are getting better in the states now, have you checked out doctors here? The reason I ask is because it might be cheaper in the long run for the times you need fills or need emergency treatment. Most doctors won't take a person that was banded somewhere else.
  9. Welcome aboard! Good Luck and let us know what you decide to do!
  10. Welcome to LBT! Start reading all the threads on here and you gain lots of information! Good Luck!
  11. I think my DH is proud of me, and he tells everyone how proud he is. We've always had a good relationship though, but I think it has improved some!
  12. Our gas is only about $2.75 (did I say only) and DH has started riding his Harley to work more, but other than that we do the same stuff. Texas is trying to do something about it though, which is good!
  13. Wow! I want some of them too! You look great!
  14. It took me at least 5 fills before I got good restriction. You'll get there!
  15. Hello Y'all! Well, I feel much better, I went to the doctor today and had an Upper GI! All is well in bandland. So many people 2-4 years out are having problems, so I decided to have it checked out. Patty - Glad to hear you are doing better. You'll be running around before you know it! Mandy - I loved your quote there! Darcy - I got a quote to put into the system today and the gal that signed it was Darcy! It made me think of you! I'll be glad when you get settled in your new place and you can play more often. Pat - You need to get your bunns back here! Eileen, Beanie, Sherry Chrispy, Deb, Cindy, and I know I must have missed someone, hello! It's way past time for me to start supper, gotta run. I was cleaning my car and watering my flowers!
  16. I went to the doctor today and had an Upper GI done. I was worried about my band since so many people on here have had some problems lately. I was so happy to hear him say my band looked perfect, no pouch dilation either! I was worried after all this time that something might be wrong. It sure takes a lot of pressure off you when you hear those words!
  17. Alex that is great news! You'll be back in bandland before you know it! Good Luck!
  18. I didn't have any problems! That was my biggest concern too! Let us know how you did when you get a chance. Good luck, and we'll see you in bandland!
  19. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please let us know how she does.
  20. Sore but happy I had it done! I had to be on liquids, so broth, Jello, juice, and popcicles. I also had a Carnation Instant drink for my Protein. Congrats on your surgery date!
  21. Welcome to LBT and congrats on your surgery date. Yes, you'll go through all kinds of emotions from now till the day you are banded. Good Luck!
  22. My doctor told me to let the strips fall off on their own, and it took some a few days and up to a week for all of them. I could shower the next day, but no swimming or baths for 6 wks.
  23. Lots of people renew their vows, I don't think this would be any different. I say go for it and fullfill you dreams.
  24. Congrats! You should be very proud of yourself!
