  1. Good Luck Alex, I hope it helps you!

I ride my Harley of course! We belong to a hog chapter and we have meetings and rides with them, and DH and I do lots of traveling on our bikes too. We like to fish, we live about 10 minutes from the lake so we go down there alot. We live in a cul-de-sac and we have the neatest neighbors and we all get together for Bbq's all the time (about every weekend in the warm weather). I work outside the home everyday. I do lots of gardening as I have flowers everywhere! I love hummingbirds, and I collect them as well as feed the live ones. I also have a pond right outside my front door that has fish in it. I read some of the other lapband boards on the internet when I have extra time.

Sometimes anything warm helps me! :eek I use all kinds of different brands, if I like the flavor or it sounds good, then I try it. Sometimes I just want the old black tea with a little coffee mate and sweetner, other times I do the Ice tea!
  4. I had one, they fixed it during my surgery! I had no problems with it at all.
  5. I hear lots of people drink ice coffee Paula, I have never tried it though.
  6. Mmmmmm that sounds so good. Maybe try some Crystal lite or some sugar free Koolaid on them too.
  7. Good for you! Keep after them! Good Luck, keep us posted!
  8. Congrats Pat! You are doing great! That is so neat that they do that for you!
  9. Wannabe - It is only natural for you to be nervous. Try to relax, it will be over before you know it. Good Luck, and please post and let us know how you're doing when you are able.
  10. These are all good ones!

I've been tempted to try one, but haven't. Maybe it all should cost that much, then we wouldn't even want one!
  12. Good luck and please post and let us know how it went. I have never had any thing like that done, so no advice here but sending my prayers to you!
  13. Waiting to hear from you! I hope it is a good one!
  14. Blossom, my Doctor told me the same thing.
  15. Bright I love that top, and it is so cool that you can shop there again! Whooooo Hooooo for you!
  16. Welcome to Bandland! I gained 8 pounds while in the hospital! The nurse actually said "you thought you came here to lose weight, and we are putting it on you". I thought she was kidding till I got home and weighed! It does come off pretty fast though. Keep up posted on your progress!
  17. They can also tell how you might react to the surgery by doing this study.

Too funny Michelle, I know I thought the same thing.
  19. Great tips y'all! One I use is that I look at the clock and see what time it is. If it is close to lunch I tell myself it is almost time, so don't eat anything now or you won't be able to eat your lunch, or if it is close to bedtime, I think, you know you can't eat that now, or it will lay in your pouch and maybe come back as a pb! It actually works for me! If that doesn't work, then I grab another big cold glass of Water.
  20. Marie - I too want to thank you for all the support you have given to me. You were one of the first people on this board to encourage me to get the band, and you were there every step of the way untill I did get the band, and you continue to be there today. Sometimes we think with our hearts, and sometimes that gets us in trouble, but we always want to help that person any way we can. I know several of us, one time or another has stuck our neck out to help someone even if it meant we crossed a line, but we were thinking with our hearts. Please don't let this one time stop you from thinking with your heart, because you help so many people on this board. You are one of the kindest and caring people I have ever had the opportunity to meet. We have all made mistakes, we learn from them, and then we go on. It is time for all of us to go on and put this behind us. Thank you Marie!
  21. My fills do the same thing! I am hoping with the next fill, it will last longer.
  22. Pat - If you had a good time, that is all that counts! Now, work on that protein! lol
  23. We're thinking we are all family here!
  24. Go back to the basics, eat your Protein first, then veggies, then starches if you have room. Try to get all your Water in, it really does help. Pat - How was your trip, did you win?
  25. I can't help you, I'm in the same boat! Maybe someone out that can though!
