  1. Good luck with your surgery! Let us know how you do!
  2. Congrats! It usually moves pretty fast after you see the surgeon and everything is done!
  3. I just read an article that olives are suppose to cure the hiccups, if you try it, let me know if it works!
  4. Awwww, Cindy I am sorry you lost a good friend, but when they get that bad it's time to let them go. Good luck with your speach tomorrow! Kat - Wow, that sounds like a fun time! Glad you got to spend some time away from everything. Patty - Welcome to bandland! I just know you did good! Sherry - You sound like you have a load on your shoulders! Stop and smell the roses honey! Mandy - Hope you and Abi are feeling better today! Hello to everyone else!
  5. Every time I start a new exercise program I get sore. I just keep at it and it goes away. congrats on doing it to begin with!
  6. I'm guilty of doing it myself sometimes. I think it helps do away with some of the cravings we have for the things we want but don't want to waste calories on or taking the chance of getting stuck.
  7. Good Morning Y'all! I had a great day yesterday, I spent the afternoon in the pool, did some excercises (badly needed) and some relaxing. My NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon won the race, my DH took me out for breakfast, and I didn't work myself to death. :P I hope y'all had a great day, you each deserve one! I have to catch up on personals tonight, I am running really late this morning! Have a great day!
  8. Yes, it is normal! You haven't had a fill yet, so you are wide open. Just remember that just because you can eat it all, doesn't mean you should. When you start getting fills, things will start to change for you. Good Luck!
  9. You don't have any fill yet, so you will be able to eat anything, but you shouldn't. You need to let your band heal up properly and you don't want your stomach churning. Call you doctor's office and ask what he wants you to be eating. Every doctor has different orders, so don't go by what you read here, just call and check with him. Good Luck, and welcome to bandland~
  10. Welcome back! The good thing about the band is that it is still waiting on us when we come back! Try making sure you get your protein in first, that is more fill and better for you. I bet when you get in that new position things will be better. Stress always makes us do things we wouldn't normally do, so smile, today is a new and better day! Don't for get your water too! :P
  11. Welcome and I'm glad you decided to post! 100 pounds in 10 months is great, congrats to you!
  12. I think each person is different. I went back to work on my 4th day, but some people aren't able to. I think you really just have to wait and see how sore you are and how you are feeling. It would also depend on what type of work you do.
  13. Congrats on your surgery date. Just remember that you are reading on a suuport board and a lot of the people that posts here only come here to complain or find information on problems they have. You aren't hearing from a lot of people that have successful bands w/o any problems. I wouldn't base my decision on only the threads you are reading with complications. We have several people here that haven't had any problems at all. I for one have not had any problems, but that doesn't mean I won't in the future. Good luck in whatever you decide to do!
  14. Ulcers can be healed up now, so I would just see what your doctor tells you. Good luck and let us know what he says!
  15. Welcome to LBT and congrats on your surgery date!:clap2:
  16. Whoooooo Hooooooo! Congrats to you! I am doing the "happy dance" for you! Congrats!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: clap2:
  17. Welcome to LBT! You are doing great, congrats!
  18. Happy Mother's Day! DH took me to Breakfast this morning and that was a nice way to start the day. Now I get to do housework and laundry. We went to a crawfish boil last night and I ate till I was sick. Boy do I love those things! Yummy! Everyone sounds like they are doing good! (Except Abi) so my prayers out to you. They put a new feature on that if you go to the User CP screen you can choose what screen you want to view. I set mine up and now it is just like having my old screen back! Try it! Ok, I am going to check out the board a little and then get my work done so I can go in the pool for the first time this year! (I think) Have a great day!
  19. Welcome to LBT and to bandland!
  20. Welcome to LBT! Good luck, and keep us posted!
  21. None of us are perfect, we all have our ups and downs, especially after a few years. I think we are all normal that way! Good Luck!
  22. Welcome to LBT! You sound like you are ready to go so the only thing I might suggest is to take a small pillow with you for the ride home. I took one and it really helped me with the bumps!
  23. Thank you, and right back at you! :rose:
  24. I mostly use Olive oil and vingegar with some fresh garlice or other spices in it. If I get tired of it, then I use regular dressing, I am not much on any of the diet dressings.
  25. Carlene I heard that for the first time the other day and laughed so hard! That's a good one. I am C&W too, although I still like the oldies but goodies too!
