  1. Patty - I bought the gas x stuff and it didn't help me at all. Remember to get some popcicles, jello, apple/grape juice, some kind of protein drink (my doc said to use Carnation Instant) and chicken/beef broth. Get some extra strenght adult tylenol (liquid) and it's good if you have a heating pad. You are almost there sweetie! Don't worry, we'll all be there, holding your hand and sending prayers out to the big guy! :)
  2. Been outside helping DH cut some trees. I guess I can get some good old fashion exercise in that way!:heh: :heh: :heh: Got lots to do in the house yet, still doing laundry too. Everyone have a great day, I'll check back in later if I get a chance!
  3. You are just having all the emotional ups and downs we all go through. Yes, it will work for you if you follow the rules of banding. In the meantime, read all the threads on here and you'll learn a lot of valuable information plus it will keep you busy and you won't worry as much! :)
  4. Some of the reasons they tell you you can't have milk etc. is because they don't want you to do liquid calories. Liquid calories are a big part of not losing weight. I still drink milk occassionally, and I eat things like bread at times, I just don't do it all the time because of the calories. I eat my protein first, then veggies, then carbs if I still want them.
  5. Welcome back! The great thing about the band is it's always there when we fall off and need to get back on track. Good Luck!
  6. Welcome to LBT and to bandland! You are doing great with your band! I too had to cook and be on liquids, but you'll get through it and lose weight while you do it!
  7. I think we all go though the thoughts of not being able to eat things ever again. I eat everything I did prior to surgery only smaller amounts. I eat popcorn all the time, I was never told I couldn't have it and it goes down great for me. You just have to experiment with things and see what works for you. Just because you ate something this week and didn't do good with it, doesn't mean a month from now you can't eat it. My band lets me eat things some days and other days it won't. Good Luck!
  8. If you can get your date set for a Thursday or Friday then you have the whole weekend to heal up. I only missed a day or two, I went back to work on my fourth day and the weekend counted two of those days.
  9. Welcome to LBT and to bandland!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  10. Welcome to LBT and to bandland! Just make sure to get some protein in, it helps with the hunger. I used popcicles, jello, broth etc.
  11. Welcome to LBT and to bandland! You are doing great!:clap2: :clap2:

  13. What a great present to give yourself! We all go through the different emotions of being scared to being excited. Be sure to let us know how you do when you get a chance!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  14. Welcome to LBT and to bandland! You can use a heating pad on the shoulder, it does help with the pain!:Banane43:

  16. Good Morning Y'all! Well, my shopping is done and all my errands run. It isn't fun to be sick or hurting and can't find out why. I think more than anything it is just scary to have things you don't know what it is. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a simple and fast recovery! Deb - Congrats on onederland! Kat - How is Rick doing? Onederland for you too! I love it! Sherry - How goes it girl? Is your luck changing? You just need to get out of town and forget it all! Chrispy - Get Sherry out of her house and away from all of it!   Dianne - Glad things are getting better! Cindy - Congrats on the new position!   Well I got to run, trying to catch up with some of the posts on the regular board as well.

  21. I usually drink wine, or some kind of mixed drink, but I can't drink a lot of any of it anymore. My band definately keeps me in line!
  22. Your port might have flipped or something. Don't worry, they'll find it!
  23. I can eat normally before the fill, but I have to do liquids the remainder of the day. I go back to solids the next day per my doctors orders.
  24. Randy are you still in there? I'm gonna take off on your bike if you don't hurry up!:Banane43:
