  1. Hi Meshia, you are totally right your life will never be the same again, congratulations for your decision, it has been the greatest experience of my life, ive been banded for 7 months now, ive lost 104 pounds, good luck
  2. The best decision you´ve ever made welcome, you´ll find out what a great site this is, a lot o support and encouragement.
  3. Brandy, Ive been banded for 4 1/2 months now, ive lost 73 pounds, as a former football player i was used to do a lot of excercise, after my surgery my doctor asked me to wait 2 months before excercise, i have been doing 1 hour of boxing and 1 hour of weight training every day without any problem, sometimes i have to take a protein shake when i feel tired but thats it, enjoy your lapband, it is the best decision you can make
  4. Dear HSH, I will be very direct with you, that band is the best decision youve ever made, and im very serious about my statement, what you have is a very common feeling, don´t worry if you are able to pass solid food too soon, that´s not too bad, some doctors are more flexible than others, what you have to watch now is the kind of food you are eating, and youll need a lot of comunication with your doctor. The lap band is the best thing that has happened to me, if you need some other advice or suggestion, i´ll galdly help.....ohhh and don´t ever think of removing your lapband... your life as you know it its gone, you are now for the simple fact of making a great decision another person. bye and congratulations for your new life
  5. thanks betty, congratulations you are almost there, George

  8. Hi Lynette, I had my surgery in my hometown Monterrey Mexico and right after my surgery, at my hospital suite i received my lapband box with the serial number, and a booklet about the band and also a lapband patient id card, where you must write your name and surgeon´s name, this id card explains the device, and explains also how the patient must eat. I hope this info is useful and go ahead, you wont regret it I had surgery april 10 2007 and lost already 29 pounds:)
  9. Hi everyone, I was banded 16 days ago, ive started now a thicker liquids diet, blended meat, chicken etc. I´m eating about 1 1/2 cup of blended food and im not feeling quite full, I know the job of the band is mainly about solid food, I´ll appreciate if anyone could tell me how much are you eating and if you feel full, Thanks,
