  1. I have a 10cc band with only .6cc's in it and currently I am able to eat oranges I really like them and for what ever reason it seems that when I eat them I tend to have a nice weight drop the next day. I was wondering if after my next fill if I will be able to eat oranges or will this be something that will block my band any thoughts would be quite helpful
  2. WOW I saw your post and noticed that you have lost 62 lbs that Kicks butt way to go
  3. As of today I have lost 41 pounds I have a 10cc band with .6cc's in it. As for restriction I only have it in the morning. after that I drink protien for my snacks and eat protien rich meals. It seems that I lose weight in spurts I'll go a few days with no weight loss then lose a bunch for a couple of days. SlimerJim
  4. Shhh, I was banded on the 2nd, I dont Know if its the port I'm seeing but the area the port is is larger than the rest of my stomich, It seems quite strange to me I've lost about 25 lbs and that one spot, does not seem much smaller than it was before the surgury although I've lost weight right below the port sight. Hope this helps Jim
  5. I had my surgery with Dr. Murr in Tampa st because he is one of the best surgeons doing barbaric surgery over 1,500 procedures along with many revisions of botched surgeries. Secondly he is one of the only preferred providers in the area for my insurance BC/BS. I went to Dr. Grossbards class before you start your surgery process I we didn't "click" . I waited over a year to find a surgeon that I did like. The one I found was really good. if you are not comfortable with your surgeon look around there are many good surgeons available to you. Hope this helps Jim
  6. I was just wondering if you all have a cc band or the cc band this seems to me that it could make a huge difference right off of the bat, Secondly how much protein are you getting in I was reading that "cope" only gets in 45 grams a day I'm not a dietitian but I'm getting in close to 100 grams a day while eating only 2 meals of food each day. from my understanding the protein will keep you fuller a lot longer than most other food sources SlimerJim
  7. Hello all. I just found your site and was wanting to introduce myself. I had my lap-band "installed" on October the 2nd and so far everything has been as smooth as glass. for me it was a same day surgery I went in at 5:am and was leaving at 7:pm that night. the only problem I did have was trying to find the liquid pain reliever that was prescribed ( Liquid Tylenol and codeine)for me at the local drug stores. A quick call to my doctor solved this right away, he changed my script to just the codeine and purchased the Tylenol and mixed it myself. I have lost 22 pounds and seem to be going strong. Not much appetite I seem to be getting full rather quickly. My doctor was Dr. Murr at Tampa General Hospital Nice to meet each of you and I'm looking forward to enjoying your support. Slimier Jim
