  1. Wow, so sorry things are not going well for you. I've only been banded 6 weeks, no problems so far, but I do know it is possible for me to be in your shoes. I sure hope not though. Just wanted to extend my sympathy to you and hope that things will turn around for you. Good luck

  2. My surgery went very well I did not have any problems. The surgery itself only took 1 hour. I just did everything the doc said and all was well. The only problem I had was after my first fill I got stuck real bad and was slimming and vomiting but it was my fault. I had microwaved chicken and that is a no no, and for some reason it slipped my mind. Other than that everything is good. The waiting was the hardest part for me . It'll be here before you know it.

  3. Hello and welcome :). Thought I'd introduce myself as a fellow Texan. I'm Stephanie I live in North Fort Worth I got banded May 28th and have lost 17 pounds. I so know what your talking about as far as exercising and this heat. I need a pool. I also spit-up a little when you mentioned house cleaning Lol. Good luck with your weight loss journey.

  4. You could try some meclizine it is in Dramamine, but there are two different types make sure you get the one with the ingredient meclizine in it. It is for dizziness and it won't make you tired if you get the right one. At least it never did me. I think it says non-drowsy. I have vertigo so I take it for the dizziness. If you can't find the Dramamine with it the other anti-dizzy meds should have it, just look at the ingredients. Hope you feel better. If your really desperate you could get any of the anti-dizzy meds, I just suggest meclizine because it is what the Dr.'s prescribe, and it works the best.

  5. I don't mean to scare you but the color of your urine does not sound good. Can you call your surgeon? Do they have an after hours number? It could be nothing, but if you still have it i would check to be sure. It's the pinkish color that worry's me.

  6. I used an ice pack for the first week on my sore incisions. I still am having some sharp pains in my side, and I am almost 2 weeks out. But it has gotten a lot better than it was. It will for you too. If it's not gas it could be constipation? As long as it keeps getting better you should be fine if it does not or if it gets worse maybe you should call your Doc. Good luck

  7. Congratulations on your wedding, and good luck with your weight loss. I'm sure will all be here to keep you encouraged. Sounds like your doing the right things. So keep it up. I don't know how much protein you get in, but it is suppose to really help with hunger and weight loss. My bariactric nurse said she sees about a 10% difference in weight loss with people who hit there protein goals.

  8. In the mean time don't forget you can chat with people here. Have you tried the chat room or maybe you can PM someone on here going though what you are going through? Sorry I can't answer your question about a support group in your area, maybe someone else will know. Sorry your having a hard time. I'm sure you will find what you need. Good luck.

  9. Have you heard of carb cycling? Some people use it on here for plateaus. You can find the book "Choose To Lose-The 7-Day carb cycle solution" it's by Chris Powell. I've bought the book (10.00) I have not used it yet because I'm not even banded yet . That changes Tuesday. Other people say it works. Maybe you can give it a shot. Good luck.

  10. I'm on my second day as well, my surgery is Tuesday. They say it gets better after the third day. Will see. I'm just keeping myself full with 4 protein shakes, jello, broth, Popsicle, water, and for craving i chew alot of sugar-free gum. That's all I know to do besides also staying busy. I am allowed one protein bar a day too. Good luck

  11. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Having two children of my own I can only imagine the emotional pain that would come with that. I'd give yourself a stay on yesterday, it would have been hard. You can get right back on track today and that's the good thing about how this works. That's what I had to tell myself because my son decided to take me to Ihop for Mothers Day plus to have one last oorah before I get banded. I did not really want to do it but I did not want to hurt his feelings either, so I did. It was good but I hated myself at the same time. I've just decided all I can do is start over today. Good luck and God bless
