Congratulations!! The ring I was married in 42 years ago finally fits me again. I know the wonderful feeling.
  2. One day she will see you are on her side. I have a 34 year old son who is very obese. I have tried everything with him. He knows better because he has been thinner. He now has a wife and 2 sons who all eat crap! They lived with me for 10 months so I know how they eat. Awful. At least you are making great meals. Good luck with her seeing you are not the wicked witch.
  3. Both of you have great nails. Mine are short because I am done with tips. Tips ruined my real nails and gel polish peels off.

I am from New England, home of great lobster. I was told by many banders that after surgery food can be different. I guess tonight I had my last lobster. It was just too chewy for me. I am sad. I do eat a lot of jumbo lump crab and that agrees with me. I have had shrimp and that goes down fine. The only way I would eat clams is fried, so that is out and I don't do scallops. I find salmon does down super. Tomorrow I am making a pot roast. My husband does not eat meat, only poultry and fish. I guess that means about 12 pot roast meals for me. Everyone have a great weekend. Arlene

Great goals. I have never thought of doing them. Keep up the good work.
  6. What a wonderful story! Great mother. I have 2 sons. Both are 6'2" and there is about 150-200 pounds between them. The youngest is the heavy one. I have tried everything with him. He is now 34 married with children. He and his wife eat awful foods and their 2 sons do too. When they lived me they knew I didn't approve of their choices. It is so hard. Doing the Band was the best thing I did. I hope one day my son wakes up and watches his in take. Good luck with yourself and your sons.

Before my band I had all those problems. Took 6 pills a day to eat. My doctor repaired my hernia and my stomach was in the wrong place, which he fixed too. I feel great without all those problems. Have you been checked for those? I have liquid Zantac from my surgery. Good luck.
  8. I wish you a lot of luck. That is awful that after all these years that would happen.

Good luck!! Since my fill 4 weeks ago, I am the same weight. My pants fit better but I have major muffin top. Exercise like a mad person.
  10. you look amazing! Sorry to hear about your illness. Can you find another doctor closer to where you live? I know where I had my surgery there are 3 surgeons in that office. Keep up the good work.
  11. I still see myself as very fat even though I am down almost 60 lbs. since March. My face lost the chubbiness and my new jean size is misses not womens anymore! I haven't lost any weight since my fill 3 1/2 weeks ago but the inches have gone down. That I don't understand. Good luck.
  12. Sorry to hear about the shakes. I love them. I use Lactaid milk because regular milk was bothering me. People also use soy or almond milk. In my shakes I put decaf instant coffee, peppermint extract and lots of ice cubes and it comes out very thick and filling. I only drink chocolate flavored powder. Good luck!
  13. Hi, I had a fill 3 1/2 weeks ago and my weight has stayed the same but I have lost inches. I bought a pair of jeans 3 weeks ago and they fit great and were tight when I bought them. Good luck!

Good evening everyone After banding can you eat ribs? I haven't tried them yet. Yesterday I tried a chicken wing and it was too chewy, so I couldn't eat it. Wings are one of my favorite foods. Bye Bye wings. Also, how about rack of lamb? Is that a food that goes down well? Thank you.

  16. You are very very lucky! Be proud. I wish I could see that number. Since I had a fill 3 weeks ago I have been stuck at the same number but clothes fit better. I don't get it.

Congratulations on being banded! The shoulder pain is from the gas they put in you. Use a heating pad, it works. The pain should go away in about 3 days. The belly gas doesn't leave. I was banded 7/30 and always have gas and was told by banders that is normal. Good luck with your new life and eating healthier!

Today I finally had my favorite-pizza! I had one slice and it went down great. I still haven't tried lettuce yet. I love to eat salad but I am afraid of choking on the lettuce. I had my support group tonight and we talked about exercise. The one thing I don't do. Next week I am joining a gym. I am going to try to go 3-5 days a week. The physical therapist we had as a speaker tonight thinks tread mills are not great. He likes recumbent bikes and ellipticals better. Good to know because those are the 2 pieces of equipment that I like. I find tread mills boring. Have a great evening everyone.
  19. Good luck! My husband today asked me if you can stretch the band and gain weight. I guess you answered his question. I went to my support group tonight and love it. Do you still go to them?
  20. Great Story!!!! Good for you. I was banded 7/30 and I am doing great. Best thing I ever did for myself. I don't exercise enough either. I think next week I am joining a gym. Just going will be the trick. Good luck and thanks for hope.
  21. Hello, i think you're doing great. I have gas really bad after I eat. My husband thinks it has to do with the new stomach being smaller and how the food passes through. I never asked anyone about this but at least there is no smell.
  22. Good evening, I would call the doctor as soon as you can. I don't think that sounds normal. Good luck.
  23. The scale has not moved down in about one week. I am pissed. I am now on Stage 5 for life so maybe my body is adjusting to food. I took my measurements one month ago and again today. I have lost inches so that makes me feel good. I finally fit into my misses size jeans, 18!!!!!! I haven't seen that size in over 10 years. Enjoy your Columbus Day weekend everyone.
