  1. Hi Linsey, get ready for a wonderful health trip. One that is sure to change your life in more positive ways than you can imagine.
  2. I would plan for 2 nights. It is possible that you may only need 1 night. I needed 2 nights my BP was a bit high, once they figured out they weren't giving me the correct dosage of BP meds they let me go.
  3. Great job!!! Keep up the good work, and I do mean work. I know alot of people say that we "took the easy way out". Those are the uninformed. There is very little that is easy about this path.
  4. I've found that cutting the isopure with crystal light helped alot, and definitely over ice. I will help make sure you get both protein and liquids in.
  5. Thanks for reminding me of that. I also add peanut butter and it does taste like a Reese cup. I use the PB2 peanut butter powder it is great and alot easier to deal with than real peanut butter. You should give it a try.
  6. GIve the premier nutrition shakes a try. They are pre-made and have 30g of protein/11 oz. They don't taste that bad, but like all they can be enhanced with a little SF torino syrup or decaf instant coffee. Here is the link to their website. http://www.premiernutrition.com/protein-shake.html I get 18 for $24.00 @ costco. Works out to about 1.33 per shake.
  7. Don't Worry, Be Happy!!!!! Just remember that things will only get better for you going forward.
  8. Welcome Diva, get ready for a fun healthy ride.
  9. What? grits are great. However, I don't think I will be getting any of those anytime soon. I'm more than a week from mushies and In;t sure where my doc stands on them. I may have to find out.
  10. The first day I was out of it from the meds. Didn't get up an around until after 8 or 9. I did walk alot. I may have been able to go home the next day but my BP was a bit too high. Once they got me the correct dosage of BP meds things went to normal and I was able to leave.
  11. 2 nights, in on Monday out on Wednesday.
  12. I'm 5'11". Highest weight was 357 in early march. 323 when i started my 2 week pre op diet. 299 day of surgery 7/30. 12 days post op i'm at 278. I would like to be around 200. The normal charts say i should be 175 but i just dont think that is right for me. I have always carried alot of muscle. But you never know i'll cross that bridge when i get there.
  13. I tell this to my daughter all the time. Information is power the more information someone has on you the more power they can assert over you. Most people dont realize it but this is a perfect example of that. It may not be something they can do to cause you any major problems, but it is an inconvience that you shouldnt have to handle. Play things close to the vest and for those that think this is easy, they are ignorant. I'm 12 days post op and I have had only liquids for the past 26 days what is easy about that?
  14. http://www.dreamfieldsfoods.com/, great low carb pasta I have been using for years. For the longest I could only find at certain grocery stores but I saw it wal-mart recently.
  15. You are doing this for you health. That is what is important. This is about "you" if other can't understand it is best to not involve them. I know that can be hard considering that person is your husband. Ask him does he want you to be unhealthy and why. I doubt you get an answer for that question.
  16. I was sleeved that Monday, and was back at work the following Monday. Other than getting tired in the afternoons it was ok. Around 3 I would usually crash.
  17. My surgeon said 2 weeks.
  18. Id put money on anesthesia.
  19. Go head MJ. I'm right there with you. I'm going Timberlake on the them. Bringing Sexy back.
  20. I think that smile says it all. You look great keep up the good work!!
  21. I was 6 days post op before I had a bm. Are you having gas? If so that is a good sign. F.Y.I. that frist bm will most likely be you most "solid" one for awhile.
  22. I was exactly like Nathalie, 6 days post-op, not much and it has been pretty much liquid since then.
