  1. Great job keep up the good work...
  2. Me, me, right here. In small portions. I cut 100 calorie pack of almonds, or I'll eat about 10 pistachios at a time. Im sure I could eat more, but I only allow myself that amount as nuts can be high calorie.
  3. Sorry to hear about your difficulties, hope all goes well and you feel better soon.
  4. I think it's great that you ate a donut the size of a quarter, if that isn't moderation I don't know what is. I don't think this procedure is about nevers, ie you can never eat this or that. It truly is about moderation, be proud that you ate that little donut, I know pre surgery I would have ate the whole donut and would have wanted to go back for seconds. I feel moderation is very healthy, and apparently moderation is something that most of us have to work on. Your doing great, don't feel bad because you have no reason to.
  5. I was also pale for about a month after surgery. I do believe it was due to lack of nutrients. That first month was just ah hard getting where I needed to be fluid and protein wise. Not to mention all the trauma your body has just been thru. However I'm sure it's due to lack of nutrients, I also got super pale when I was pregnant, I just felt my son draining my nutrients.

As a married gal who just had surgery, our date nights consist of concerts, movies, plays, long bike rides, museums, amusement parks. I've also found going to fancy restursnts is Awsome, I used to get pissed at those small servings, now they are perfect. I also find I'm able to camouflage my small eating portions with soup, yeah it gets kinda weird that is 90 degrees outside and I'm ordering soup. Lol. I don't think you should totally dodge the whole eating out, maybe get a late bite, and just say your eating light. I've noticed that more than anyone else I pay attention to my portions, my husband or family doesn't even realize how much I eat, or should I say how much I dont eat.
  7. You are not alone. The sleee will help you with your weight loss and many of your medical conditions. However it will not fix your self esteem, you sound like that maybe something you may want to start working on. The sleeve is a great too, but it is not a fix all, there are other factors that come into play, such as not being able to turn to food in times of stress. A great attitude always helps, wishing you the best.
  8. I didn't have an endoscopy, but many doctors do require it. A good way to see what his patient mix is to attend a support group meeting. He may have had performed many procedures that you think. Hopefully his office does conduct support group meetings. He prob won't be @ the meeting, but that's the best way to talk and ask questions to previous patients.
  9. Wow you look great. Keep up the good work.
  10. Glad to see you are doing better. Congrats on the weight loss.
  11. Nice dress. You look great, keep up the good work.
  12. FYI....you can try EAS carb control shakes they sell them at Walmart and target, they taste pretty good.
  13. I do use something, but it's not for regrowth, it's more for coverage, so that hair loss is not as noticeable. I already had thinning hair because of my pcos, so this is a life saver for me, I just feel more confidant and not as self conscious. You can order it on amazon it's called fusion, they also sell something similar at Sally's it called topikk.
  14. You look great. I love your deck. I know that's a weird comment, but here in Chicago we have post stamp sized lawns, and there really isn't enough room for any fancy stuff.
  15. Hello Gustavo, welcome and congrats on your procedure. Im sure you will do great. As for he abdominal pain, I felt like I did 1,000 sit ups, but it wasn't intolerable. I know there are some broth flavored protein, it maybe worth a try asking your doctor if you can have that, since it is pretty high in protein. I'm not Italian but I do love Italian food. I'm Coming up on 4 months post op, and some things that I love to eat that are sleeve friendly are, meatballs in sauce, chicken Parmesan (broiled chicken not fried), minestrone soup, and for a special treat I will get some authentic style Italian pizza, with the super thin crust...hmmm. Good luck to you and hope to see Posting around the board soon.

I think it's a gimmick, it is not realistic for long term weight loss. I feel as a wls patient it is very important to maintain a healthy normal diet, it is important to get into the habit of eating as much of your protein as possible, as opposed to drinking it via supplements. I may have one protein shake a day, but in no way do I drink it to replace a meal, I will usually have one between breakfast and lunch. The whole point of wls it to stop with programs such as the one you listed. I say stick to your doctors recommendations and try to navigate your diet with wholesome nutritious foods, best of luck to you.
  19. First of all I have to say congrats, you were really pushing the boundaries, but you know what, you realized it and put an end to it, bravo. I hope now you realize the rules and steps your doctor has are there for your benefit. This is really a learning process, it doesn't happen over night. With a little patience, hard work and self evaluation you will get to where you need to be.
  20. Good luck to all of you and a speedy recovery.
  21. Congrats. You look great. Best of wishes on you bundle of joy!!!
