I think it's a gimmick, it is not realistic for long term weight loss. I feel as a wls patient it is very important to maintain a healthy normal diet, it is important to get into the habit of eating as much of your protein as possible, as opposed to drinking it via supplements. I may have one protein shake a day, but in no way do I drink it to replace a meal, I will usually have one between breakfast and lunch. The whole point of wls it to stop with programs such as the one you listed. I say stick to your doctors recommendations and try to navigate your diet with wholesome nutritious foods, best of luck to you.

Weight loss stuff is a multi million dollar business. I'm sure the supplements can help in some ways, but the cost is really high. My SIL sells this product and I really don't buy from her because I can go to Sprout's and buy the same product with less cost and it works just as effective. My SIL swears by the product. She is 70 years ald and going strong. So I'm not discounting it, I just choose different products at a reduced cost. Those products might help to start your wl process, so I really wouldn't discount it. I highly recommend changing your habits and eating healthier too. :)

Herballife is just like so many products before it like Shaklee and any other pyramid scheme, excuse me "multi level marketing". The stuff is overpriced and you make maybe a little money selling it but not enough to warrant the time and effort you must invest. Where the real money is upstream, the people who got you and others to sell FOR them, they all get a cut of your sales and a cut of anyone who YOU snooker into selling under YOU. It's all a get rich quick scheme and I personally have never known ANYONE who got rich - quick or otherwise.

I guess the stuff is OK but as Dorrie pointed out - available at any health food store, discount store or online for considerably less.

I LOVE the shakes. I add the extra protein powder and get about 21 gr per shake and they are really really good. They have a little recipe book that tells how to mix them to make different flavors. As an example, the cookies and cream, 2 tablespoons rice crispies, 5 min. marshmallows, 2 tablespoons sugar free cheesecake pudding mix, ice and skim milk, mix in blender well = rice krispy treat shake and it tastes just like a rice krispy treat. I don't count carbs and never have just the calories and protein.
