    i was one of those people (in my days when i was addicted to weighing every 5 seconds) that if it went up, i figured WTheck..i am up so i may as well really be up...YOU are 100% correct in saying its a mind game.....a mind thing....ALL mental...i feel once you really (get it)......the reality sets in that yeah you can truly do it.......if you want too.

I speak only for me and in reference, but if I didn't want to lose weight and get healthy, no WLS or gimmick would help. it may help a little but the fire goes out and them boom...so I had to make a choice, much like you wrote....we make our destiny. I firmly believe you either go for it with all your heart and give it a (chance) or you don't....believe...and want it..

    i am sure everyone has felt (sick) for whatever reason

    in front of someone (before) and went home.

    last year, michelle, a lady who i work with, we were having a

    conference meeting, the ceo, cfo etc was in there and all of

    a sudden, the grabbed the trashcan and threw up...just like that..

    she then acted like nothing happened....after she cleaned up.

    part of life i guess.

  7. your getting hungry because your swelling is going down...you need to sip as much as you can (including your protein shakes) at this time...the first 4 to 6 weeks is for healing and not be overly concerned about losing weight and such....

    your dr gave you instructions on what to drink and for how long, try to stick to it the best you can...any questions, its best too call and ask them as they may not want you to do what mine suggested.


  8. T Pops...I could have written your exact post a couple of years ago. I just knew I was eventually gonna get right back to my old habits, thinking this was only a diet, I'd return to eating too much, etc, etc. But I was wrong! At least for me, for now, I no longer have that same fear. It took me much longer than a lot of folks to reach this point.....but I'm here! Now, I am at a wonderful spot with my band. But more importantly, even with my head. Congrats to you, my friend, and keep on rolling!

    I think what you wrote makes sense. all the (past) failures are close and we remember...so what makes us think we can succeed this time...how I see it........just keep going I guess.....everytime I see someone say how do I survive bandster hell or the liquid pre or post op, I just wanna say by keep on going

    there is yeah i want to lose weight (that was me not long ago as i dipped my hand back into the bag of chips) and then there is the WANT to where i actually did something about it.

    YOU have that. you are a want power success god and i am proud of you...thanks for mentioning me although not sure what you read bless your heart.

    you are not a failure. to fail means to quit and say F** it...

    so you start over

    eat your allotted cup of food.....lean protein, veggies, fruit

    cut out the junk/fast/snack foods, drink alot and walk (if its all you can do)...but just begin, today, right now. no excuses, no woe is me BS.

    we cant take back the past but we can change the future.

    if we want too

    you CAN do this..yes YOU can.....and i will argue with you all day

    if you want me to... :)

    if you want to, then do it..
