  1. I would avoid 3-4 oz at a time for awhile...you can slowly irritate your tummy and start feeling it later. There are alot of protien drinks that are not chalky...give several kinds a try. Lean shake (I think its called that) has a truly awesome strawberry and you can get it out of the cooler in pre-mixed bottles at GMC.
  2. Dont forget to love your skin! Long milkbaths and glycerin and compression garments to help "hold it all in place" wil help too.
  3. PS - go buy a tshirt that is too tight - really clingy - all over and keep it for when you need reassurance you are loosing. It is as good as any tape measurer! lol.
  4. Too much! Buy as necessity proves a need - and be sure you really need it. Don't be afraid to but samples and such, rather than big tubs of protien powder - especially if you start to show a trend of tiring of a drink quickly. Switch it up too! Good luck!
  5. I am having pain that seems to sit below my tummy. It is central and forward (maybe on the forward). It is at a point that I feel it most when I am sitting upright at work, and the longer I go (sometimes) the more it seems to hurt...it is being accompanied by nausea but not alot of throwing up. I have been keeping a spanky on during the day to keep me from jiggling as bad when I am running around the warehouse...but it isnt exceptionally tight. I am not trying to shape, just hold in. It seems to be relieved when I can get off my feet and stretch out, or have a more substantial BM (sorry TMI I knowwww). What could this be? Anyone else with similar symptoms care to relate what it turned out to be? It is seriously beginning to affect my day. I have been at work today and between fidgeting and trying to be even somewhat comfortable, and in the bathroom feeling like I am going to throw up, I have got almost nothing done
  6. Yes make the doctor aware. If it is gas the only thing to really stop it is the walking, because it is accompanied by presure. Try a liquid pain med...it worked better for me. Did you do the barium swallow? Good luck.
  7. I would say you could at least follow it a few months to see...I think I do better when I am on the higher range of my calories. Even if I don't lose as much weight I feel better and have a better outlook. Good idea about the protien, I have been toying with that myself. Natural fiber, it seems, is much better than any supplement. I really seem to be doing well (mentally - feeling sharp and alert and sleeping better) since I began to stick to my "5 best foods" blueberries walnuts EVOO or another good fat source either a spoonful on tambiko, or salmon, or talapia...often made with the evoo. Prune, or apple peel, or squash - and just maybe a little oatmeal. REAL oatmeal, lol!!!! Smaller amounts but nearer real suggested amounts. also if I can: pumpkin sunflower seeds hummus cauliflour just soooo much stuff now that I seem to enjoy on a different level, it is like my body knows to enjoy it.
  8. Talk to a good seamstress in your area, and have her confirm how long she would need to make some size adjustments on a specific dress, then order a nice dress that has easy lines to tailor. Your seamstress may even be able to offer you a list of garments for sale - and be able to take it up. Don't hesitate to ask. Good luck. I tried to get married in kakhis and bare feel but was overuled by all...
  9. This has been a looong time in coming...but I did it!!!! I am at 196 LBS. Hubby is not home tonight but that is OK we will Celebrate tomorrow! A month exactly from my 10th wedding anniversary, and I am in Onderland.. Thank you to everyone! All the support and encouragement. Thank you very, very much! I did it, Mom! <3
  10. happiness is not having to overthink your food too much! Not having to wonder is this stall where you can't control it anymore and it creeps back on...
  11. Read all you can, the books, on here, the online content with organizations like the American Metabolic and Bariatric Association. Stay calm, get you hospital stuff packed now, so it wont be a last minute rush. Good luck! God bless!
  12. Not fried foods and such but yes...and these are things you want to work on. You will deal with more than that. There are going to be alot of things that brig up emotions you will not anticipate. Contunie to go to counseling if you can - and read, read, read the books that are available. You should consider getting a sleeve buddy, someone yo ucan talk to on the phone, and text, etc. Good luck.
  13. I will keep you in my prayers!
  14. I love/hate these posts! Just kidding! I am so proud everytime I see a new onderland post - happily envious but no hate, I promise... 3 lbs away from that border - and I renounce my citizenship to Obesity...
  15. Grazing is a bit more unplanned, and can be really constant, even if only little increments...your meals and snacks sound planned and structured, grazin isnt...
  16. We have all been here, and one day you will be looking back at the newbies too - and be just as happy for them as we are for you!
  17. I am so excited for you! This will all pass so quickly (looking back, anyway!). You are going to go through so much emotion - stick in there! This is some of the first days of the rest of your life...you will always have "before" moments that you will never forget, good times and bad - but you now have a whole other "rest of your life" than you perhaps thought you might. make the very best of it! God bless!
  18. Hummus on thinly sliced apple. Chick peas Edamame - cold cooked AND dried Butternut squash Soup in the green box - I think it is cambels A serving of Jello smooshed with a sugar free popsicle tambiko caviar (the little eggs on shushi) blueberries walnut paste (hubbie makes it himself with EVOO) seaweed crisps - basically seaweed paper flavored, omg so very NICE Just a few and all soooo good!
  19. I have to be soooo careful with coffee...I just get lost and start gulping.
  20. I have decided to post it to Facebook, but not just yet - and I am going to write a very long note about the journey, and what it has done, and how much of that was never possible before. But just not quite yet, lol...

Very brave for you to post this. Keep it up.
  22. "Drink whenever I can"...that is alot of calories, possibly the 20 lbs or so you gained. Perhaps it is time to see if you have replaced food with alcohol, and get some real help...and discuss this with your partner.
  23. Onderland...that most coveted place! Congradulations! Right behind you, 3 lbs to go...it FEELS SOOO CLOSE! lol
  24. http://www.diet.com/g/bezoars simplified but basic explanation about what they are in humans.
  25. gmanbat, I it is something i don't think I have got into much here, but a deciding factor for me to go ahead and get the sleeve was I had a tumor on my stomach - they were going to have to remove a portion of my tummy anyway.. Which they had missed in every reading for at least a year, until I began to lose weight on my own in january '11 (sleeved Januar '12)...so yes, the weight loss must help with things like that, even if only in the odds of detecting it...
