Ephedrine
Actually I do have a question - what doctor issued this? Did he run tests to determine WHY your metabolism was off? Are you working out? This is only a temp fix, so if you could substitute it you would be better off. I also know people who have seen the same effect by diagnosing food allergies. No kidding.

Ephedrine
Oh, ephedrine my old friend...but not. It can serioulsy affect your sleep, and it can make your moods, er, less pleasant. You need to read on the side effects AND interaction with other drugs AND any mental conditions. Heart conditions, circulation problems, and issues healing should be addressed with the doctor that issued it. When you get your prescription request it come from a supplier that your supply comes in a bottle with a foil sealed lid, rather than put into a prescription bottle. For many a mild dose issued in a three week, wean down, (on off schedule of some sort) can be safe.

How Did You All Do It?
The PPI's are good but also try a tums (dissolve in your mouth do not chew). There is an orange creme sugar free tums that works wonders for me! Good luck!

It really is nice to see him smile. It feels good to see him happy and not as worried - he was soooo scared when I had the surgery!

Nsv Better Than The Last!
No saddness at all in this one! I have a pair of boots my hubby gave me as a Christmas present either in '08 or '09 and they were just the most funky plaid boots with leather steel toes and leather heels, a leather tongue and a leather strap and came up to my knees. He ordered them from a cosplay boutique in Japan when he was in Tokyo and didn't think about how small stuff ran (like that was why they didn't fit, lol)..and yup! They wouldnt fit at all. I got them out last week and wore them with a LBD and he grinned from ear to ear! The LBD happed to be about two sizes too big, but it was an empire waisted dress, so I kinda pulled it off, still. I am actually reordering that dress - the cut is AWESOME for us gals in transition. I love those boots! I love my Hubbie and I LOVE ME!

Its Only Week 2: Why Am I So Hungry?
There are sooo many things that could be going on when we first begin to feel hunger again - the cure is generally best focused on over why - and there have been alot of posts that give real good suggestions. Jello and popcicles and crushed ice (often with a bit of the protien drink sprizzled over it) are all good head hunger cures - they are good real hunger cures, too. jello and popcicles and chipped ice may be repeated more often, but at 0-10 calories a go, it is really not an issue, calorie-wise. I noticed when I ate some tobiko (caviar) I really lost my hunger...it is full of Omega's and such, so I think at least one of my real hunger issues was an essential fatty acid deficit.

Great Post Op Book
It gets excellent reviews just about everytime. I have "Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies" and "The Real Skinny on Weigh Loss Surgery". I hope to read them over the next month or so (I am also back in college so ALOT of other reading first - grrrr!). So far WLSFD seems simplictic but informative and the other is a bit more involved but well explained...

Sugar Info Video
I found this video it is brief and really interesting - I think it might answer a little for some of us who begin to eat "normal" foods and can't figure out how the extra carbs seem to be sneaking in. My Norton AV caught an add on attempt off this page - maybe - I had more then one window up. I just wanted to mention it. http://www.delish.com/recipes/cooking-recipes/taste-of-place/?v=ff905ef2-2ebd-4952-a0f0-631d8c2eda4f&from=en-us_msnhp

Hunger Monster Rears It's Ugly Head! What's Happening?!
I found my hunger so far controlled by antacids or chewing really thoroughly and waitung at least about a minute in between bites, but I am really new to solid foods also - even though I am about twice as far out as you. The protien shake may help. One thing to remember - once you hit a few ounces, even if you havent filled up maybe - you still have a partially full tummy, so maybe after an hour or so (give the food time to pass) try Jello or a crunchy popscicle instead. You may be "craving" texture. I do sometimes. Also if you are dehydrated or TOM can add to hunger.

I Need Help
One thing I can say is Vitamin deficienies during egg maturity and conception and especially the first few weeks before you would even know you are pregnant can be extremely bad - life altering bad - for a child. I wouldn't leave it to chance - make sure your blood readings are perfect, and be sure you have addressed all the issues adding a child will bring. Just my thoughts I guess I should add. I have no children

Weight Going Down, But Not Pants Size Not So Much
There are so amny varying shapes and not just for girls...but in general they (clothing) try ti use pear, apple, square, retangle and triangle, from what I notice...I don't think these are enough to lump a person into how they are going to lose weight. I think it has a lot to do with height and also where it comes off of. I also think (when I say think I generally mean educated guess cause I have no direct reference) that pounds lost in ketosis vs. A higher carb diet might affect the appearance also...it is really interesting, however, to see just how different we each are and then to know how generalized our care has been...hmmmmm

Nsv Is Also A Goodbye :'(
I have been posting so long here that I actually thought of my community here before I thought to call a friend, lol. I am married and happily, commitedly so - so please do not take what I am am getting ready to say wrong - he knows and he feels so bad for me too, which just makes it worse. Circumstances came together a few days ago to require an old, dear, special friend to need a place to be for a few days. We had not parted in the best way, so I was very suprised that they called - but they remembered I promised them they would never be without a home if they needed it. I meant it and so for the first time in a very long time we got to see each other. They were just amazed at the way I looked and could not stop talking about how tiny I looked... ...nothing else... ...and they worked out their issue, and are back on their way. I am not even sure what I am trying to say, which is why I am airing it out here, I guess. I am very glad they got to see I was feeling and looking better - and there was some vanity in it - but not in a negative way. Afterwards there was a tremendous sense of let-down. If I can't express it, how can I deal with it? Is there anyone out there that understands this? I am not trying to create a drama-thread, this isn't a jerry Springer thing! I would however, appreciate any insight anyone can provide. It seems to be that I am sad not because I miss my friend or anything - I seem to get this way sometimes now when my weight loss isn't 'fixing' things. I think maybe because I have focused on my surgery and weight loss for twelve months now...???
