  5. I hate the fact that people think this is so easy. They really have some nerve, This is no way the easy way out. I mean most of us cant even eat bread because it gets stuck...then there is the whole stuck issue in itself...Not fun and not easy
  6. This is how my fill was done as well. Lay down they insert the needle and then sit up with needle still in place. It doesnt hurt though
  7. My surgen said alcohol was fine but just know that its calories. I think it will be fine from time to time
  8. Not everyone needs a fill. As long as your losing weight you are fine. I lost 14 pounds the first month after being banded and I still got a fill. I wasnt too happy about that since I didnt think I needed one. You are very lucky not to need one!
  9. It all depends on how you feel. I went for a two mile about 4 days after surgery. I was ok, I did need my pain medicine still at that point. Other than that I felt really good
  10. They left the tray of treats out in front of me. I ate the damn cookie and according to my fitness pal that one cookie had 177 calories. I am so mad at myself I have smoke coming outta my ears. I am already struggling this week cause I am sick with a cold and cant hardly exercise so now lets add cookies to the equation...GRRR lol
  11. I dont know but this post made me laugh....My parents used to fight over stuff like that (especially colors) all the time lol
  12. My father passed away on Dec 22nd 2009. I can feel myself starting to slip into that old depression of two years ago and yes this includes wanting to eat. I am really not sure what to do but I know that one of his wishes was for me to quit smoking and lose the weight. I have done one and starting to do the other. I think thats all I can do is just remember that he was one of my biggest supporters so after myself and my son..I am doing this for him I am sorry for your loss...I know how you feel. Its tough but we will get through this
  13. I agree with Jersey Girl...Phone calls can be useless because a lot of the time they just ignore you. If you go in person they CAN NOT ignore you! I do this all the time. I usually get results that way
  14. Its not the easy way out! I was just afraid I would not be able to change my eating habits...My band gives me no choice. I cannot eat nearly the portion of food that I used to. I can still enjoy my favorite foods just the way your supposed to...in moderation!!
  15. Banded 10/19/11 Breakfast- 1 Scrambled egg and 2 strips of bacon Lunch- Muscle milk Protein shake Dinner- 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1 sugar free Jello cup, 1 sugar free pudding Snack- Dannon light and fit Yougurt
  16. I quite smoking right before surgery. I have chewed sugar free gum a few times since. It doesnt cause any problems
  17. The fear of not losing any weight of course was there but for me it was more wondering if I really wanted to go through with it somedays...I have NO REGRETS though!!!
  18. Dawn Checking in Previous weight 230 Current weight 225 -5 Only 2 more pounds till my goal!!
  19. I take regular multi-vitamins. They are large and hard for me to swallow but they dont get stuck in my band at all. I think it may help that they are gel caps!
  20. Just wanted to thank everyone again for the encouragement! I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 226! I did it and im estatic! No stopping me now!! Onderland...get ready...Here I come!!
  21. Wow I am so sorry you are going through this. I really will pray that you do not have to start over again but if you do just remember that it will be well worth it the long run. Just like xavier said..whats another 6 months when were talking about a lifetime change!
  22. The liquid diet is really the hardest part. It does get easier after a few days. Everytime I wanted to give up I just thought of my sweet baby boy and the possibility that he may not have a mommy if I continued on the path I was taking..that was enoug to keep me on track! Good luck!
  23. Thanks guys! I woke up this morning feel much more confident! I am going to do this no matter how long it takes...if I can get past 230...Then maybe one day I can even make it to Onederland! The dream is alive!
