  1. This is the worst of it...I remember half way through my two week liquid diet I was soo crabby and my co-workers told me I needed real food lol. This is the worst part though. Once you get past this the rest is easy!
  2. I log all my calories now and hold myself accountable for every morsel that passes my lips. I never did that before. Whenever a doctor wanted me to keep a food log I would get depressed and angry...now I do this on my own free will. Its amazing how things change in just a few months!
  3. My first fill was on Dec 1st and even though I lost 14 pounds in November they gave me a 5 CC fill...I was like wow!! I really didnt think I needed quite that much since I was losing but its working! Im not eating as big as portions now and am NOT hungry in between meals. Actually Im not even that hungry at meal times..lol
  4. Thank you! Starting yesterday I picked up the workouts and I just got my first fill on Dec 1st. I can tell already that my hunger isnt even that bad. I ate lunch at 12 in the afternoon yesterday and didnt eat again till about 8:15. Then when I do eat its very small portions. I dread my weigh in next week. Even if that scale says 229...it will call for a celebration!! lol Thank you for the encouragement..I think thats all I need! I love these forums!
  5. Well here I am again at 230 pounds. Im stressing because even though I have lost 29 pounds in less than two months I have been here (at this weight) many times. This is always where I would end up when on a diet and exercise program. Then I couldnt lose any more. *sigh*Then I would gain it all back and then some...grrr. Told my husband my feeling on this today and his response was to laugh and tell me he thinks this time will be much different,,,yea we will see. I cant remember the last time I was below 230...*sigh*
  6. It does get easier. Just look ahead to the goal!! YOU CAN DO THIS!
  7. I had no problems after surgery. I had a little soreness but I took my pain meds. I was out shopping the next day. I went for a 2 mile walk about 4 days after! Sounds like you are doing awesome! Keep up the good work
  8. My surgen did exactly the same thing to me. I was doing well too. I had lost 14 pounds in one month and even they were impressed. Said a lot of people gain in the first six weeks before thier fill. I thought for sure I would not even need one but sure enough a whole 5 CCS....I dont understand why
  9. I was told as a smoker I needed to quit before they would do the surgery. I quite two days before lol. I did smoke one cigarette after surgery but it was nasty. Havent touch them since

  11. Normal....when I was put on pureed foods I could eat very little and was full. Now I can eat much more. Not as much as pre-band but much more than the beginning of post-band....your doing just fine!
  12. Mine sucked. When I gained all my weight we just kinda stopped having sex...but I have lost almost 30 pounds and its getting better all the time. I am looking forward to 40, 50, 60 pounds! I am sure it will continue to get better!!
  13. It would have taken me much longer to save up for everything and then go all the way over seas then it took for me to just jump through the insurance company hoops. I also like my doctor and know I can call her or go see her if I have any problems what so ever. She is just 20 minutes away!
  14. I also have to pay 15% percent. I did not have to pay that up front. I was told I would get a bill. I did have a co-pay at the time of surgery for 104.55. I am awaiting my final bill. I then plan to make payment arrangements on it. No idea how much im looking at
  15. We are ready for the December Challange!
  16. I am interested in knowing more about the bodymedia armband. Do they have a website? I want to know exactly how it works
  17. No...I dont eat much sugar in my diet anymore but all those things sure do look GOOD!!! lol
  18. C....I eat much less of what I used to though. I guess I dont look at this as a diet so much. If I wanted to diet and exercise I would have skipped the surgery and just gone on a diet and exercise program. I do exercise but because I want to, I have found ways of making exercise fun such as walking by the beach or playing just dance for the wii. I dont exercise every day but at least 3-4 time a week. I try not to eat all bad foods, I have started to make some much healthier choices and I no longer snack in between meals. I dont touch soda and dont eat sweets much anymore! I feel like I have made some huge accomplisments over the last two months just by giving up those two things. I have also kicked my smoking habit! I have to say im pretty darn proud of myself! I also count calories on myfitnesspal.com
  19. I think exercise is key! Even just going for a short walk every day will help. Then each day just walk a little further to increase your stamina. You will see the weight just start dropping off!
  20. hmmm...now I want hot chocolate lol
  21. Im in the same place you are! I go in for my first fill this week. I continue to lose weight luckily but I am getting to the point where I can eat what I want
  22. I was banded 10/19/11. I am a food addict as well. I am still struggling with that but it get easier every day! I would love to keep in touch!
